How about “don’t marry a man who cheats”?!! If you’re going to shoot anyone, shoot your cheating husband!! The other woman never made vows of fidelity to you.

No one was married here. He didn’t take a vow to some crazy exgirlfriend

He was living with Armstrong. She was the girlfriend, not an ex.

So she should have shot him, no? Easy access and all.

Armstrong's statement:

I am reeling from grieving Mo Wilson's death and from the facts that have emerged during the investigation. I cannot begin to imagine the pain felt by Mo's family and her close friends.

There is no way to adequately express the regret and torture I feel about my proximity to this horrible crime. I am sorry and I simply cannot make sense of this unfathomable tragedy.

Although it will be a matter of small consolation to anyone else who cared for Mo, I want you to know that I have cooperated fully with investigators ever since I learned the terrible news and I will continue to do so until some form of justice is served.

As a point of clarification to facts previously reported, Moriah Wilson and I had a brief romantic relationship from late October-early November 2021 that spanned a week or so while Wilson was visiting Austin.

At the time, she and I had both recently ended relationships. She returned to her home in California and about a month later, Kaitlin Armstrong and I reconciled and resumed our relationship.

Since then I often so Mo at cycling events, and always in public settings. We both competed in Bentonville, AR, Stillwater and Monterrey, CA. We also met for a 4-hour training ride in Santa Cruz after the Sea Other (sic) Classic in Monterrey.

After our brief relationships in October of 2021, we were not in a romantic relationship, only a platonic and professional one. It was not my intention to pursue along an auxiliary romantic relationship that would mislead anyone. Moriah and I were both leaders in this lonely, niche sport of cycling, and I admired her greatly and considered her a close friend. I am deeply grieving her loss.

He’s so full of sh*t. If his “friendship” with the woman who was killed was above board he wouldn’t have had to lie to his girlfriend.

Doesn't justify her killing the woman. Why didn't she break up with him?

What did he lie about?

DP. He told the murderer he was going for a bike ride or something instead he was at a popular swimming pool in Austin with the victim.

I live in Austin so have been following this closely. A few things:

- Mo (victim) was in town for a race and staying with a friend

- I am unclear how Armstrong/the shooter knew where she was staying. My guess is she had a tracker on his motorcycle.

- Colin told police he changed Mo's name in his phone and deleted their texts because his girlfriend was jealous of her. This is how his public statement is contradictory.

She used Strava, which I also use, but her account is/was public. Its a tracking app that allows you to pre-plan your running, biking, hiking routes based on the most popular paths. She was a top performer and made the routes public as a competition with other bikers. Her problem in this case was she literally had Strava tracking her from her doorstep and back, so anyone could look at her routes from the week and see where she was staying.

Interesting. She returned home at 8:37PM and the person she was staying with returned and called 911 between 9:40 and 9:56PM (have no idea how long Austin's average response time is to a murder but I'm guessing 15 minutes or less).

So the other woman managed to get in undetected and kill her within an hour? Or she was already laying in wait?

OMFG she came home and saw the boyfriend AFTER SHE KILLED HIS LOVER. Now that is cold.

He also told the gf that his phone’s battery died which is why he didn’t respond to her.
