Is Putin really crazy, like #45 crazy, or is it mental deterioration?

Puhleez guys. There’s plenty of reasons to scorn and revile Putin, but must we descend to making fun of his height. Grow up.

Signed—DCUM poster whose DH is short and amazing in every way.

It isn't about you, try not personalizing everything.

Plus the puffy face - who knows what other health issues the guy has. This is one of several reasons I wouldn't put it past him to use nukes.

He is already actively engaging in genocide of Ukrainian citizens, he wants to eliminate them and their dissent.
I think he would definitely use a tactical nuke in Ukraine. I believe he out of his mind and believes in his mind "if I can't have Ukraine, no one can".

Terrifying

Sure , I’ll try that if you stop using juvenile humor to describe a madman.

No, he keeps his RIGHT arm still, not his left arm. And that can be an indication that he carries a weapon or carried one for so many years that he grew accustomed to the gait that is characteristic of those are trained and carry arms. Look up gunslinger’s gait. This board is rife with stupidity.

Dp- a very short madman.

I saw on TikTok that some nurses who work with Parkinson’s patients and patients’ family members think Putin has it. There were rumors two years ago that he has Parkinson’s.

45 is the lunatic who was given 4 years in the highest office of the most powerful country in the world. Then he lost the job and had to move out.

Are you saying we should be the bigger person?

Nuking what? What would that accomplish?

what does any of this accomplish?

DP here. I agree, plenty to criticize about Putin without resorting to traits that get belittled (bald, short). I'm married to a bald, short, athletic, funny, super intelligent, kind, trouble-shooting, grill master guy. Enough with making fun of guys who are short and/or bald. They're traits, neither good nor bad.

Killing your adversaries who speak truth to you? Bad.

Killing civilians who are trying to escape the war? Bad.

Invading a sovereign nation? Bad. Yeah, I'm thinking of Iraq a little here, too.

Does anyone with more knowledge about Russian politics have any idea who might be waiting in the wings to claim power from Putin? It seems an ideal situation for a contender.

The timing is also a huge strategic mistake. If the pandemic hadn’t hit, I think he would have done it during Trumps administration knowing that Trump would roll over for anything. It’s been pretty clear that Biden has always been tough on Russia and looking for opportunities to strengthen ties with Allie’s that Trump broke.

Oil was set to keep climbing because the Chinese are preparing to get their economy and production up to pre pandemic levels. As things return the demand for oil spikes. Now Russia Is selling oil for less than non Russian oil because it’s hard to buy with the financial sanctions even for countries who aren’t part of the sanctions. China has Russia over a barrel and will give them as little as they can for oil. China acts in Chinas interest and will only pay Russia deeply discounted prices.

Had Putin waited he would have more money instead he has crashed his economy. He’s given Biden the opportunity to strengthen and unite the West. He’s given China a golden goose egg with super cheap oil and a chance to watch the west. He’s effectively removed Russia as a super power.
