Is Putin really crazy, like #45 crazy, or is it mental deterioration?

Putin is visibly losing his composure, ya'll. In a recent address, Putin sulks about being abandoned by his friends, and compares the West's sanctions to Nazi pogroms against Jews And considering it was RUSSIA that carried out pogroms, including in Kyiv and surrounding areas, this comparison is extra crazy.

Does anyone else feel like his tenure is almost over, and he knows it and he's panicking? That's what I got from watching this.

Yes he is freaking out. He has destroyed his country. It’s either become a subservient of China while they rob you of your natural resources or watch while your country breaks apart in chaos. Once the bank defaults hit, Russia is done. No foreign entity is ever going to invest again.

Well, not for a couple years, or so. Foreign entities will be back as soon as they think they can get away with it. But in the meantime, the Russian people are going to be suffering.

A couple of years? They are ALREADY unable to meet the terms of some of their foreign debt. They are ALREADY starting to default on their obligations.

Yes. But there's so much money sloshing around in the world, trying to find a place to go. In the short term, Russia looks bleak. But investors will return as soon as they can. Why do you think all these banks and investors were there in the first place?

What's your definition of competency? Being a murderous strongman who leaves Russia impoverished and terrified isn't really a sign of competent economic leadership to begin with...and on top of that, destroying the last limping leg of Russia's economy with a totally unnecessary, egotistical war takes him far below Trump's lowest moments.

If you think he's competent, you're probably no different from those people who admire rich mafia hitmen because "Hey, at least they made it"

I assure you I don’t admire that type of leadership. Hitler, for example was an evil SOB, but he sure was competent and that is how he managed to cause a war that killed tens of millions of innocent people instead of just being thwarted from the beginning. Trump was a clown, just as evil as a Putin or a Hitler, but as damaging as he was, didn’t fully understand the power of his office or how to fully manipulate his power without being completely oafish- take his quid pro quo with zelensky, for example- he tried to instruct justice and there was literally a transcript of his doing it. Someone like a Mitch McConnell, who knows every loophole and how to leverage them to his advantage is arguably more damaging that someone like trump (and trump was incredibly and terrifyingly damaging)
