It also means Coutts residents can't get gas, groceries, or prescriptions. Their access is blocked off.

I’m IN Canada. I’ve been living the lockdowns, and also happen to know a lot of people who have lived them too. But thanks for “educating” me. There’s not much wide support, just the support there is is being VERY vocal about it.

Oh, this must be our resident Toronto rich lady pp? Explain then trucks, vans and cars, and SUVs that all left suburbs on Saturday and joined the protesters? Kids in tow too? Bus stops in the afternoons full of middle-aged and younger people carrying flags and going downtown? Even yesterday night?

The shut down last late March till June saw stores that could stay open, cover the non food and medicine merchandise covered with tarps! So, they will make it even to smaller shops that had to be closed.
Yep, in 2021 that happened, but in previous lockdowns you could buy a frying pan at Walmart.

Another Canadian here. Thanks for explaining what's happening in our own country. There are a lot of people telling the truckers to quit whining and get back to work. Same with the lock downs. Many provinces were already planning to start lifting restrictions before the convoy started.

This is the video from the supporter, as I can't find one from more mainstream media. The border here is clearly still blocked and police is trying to do their job, which is to allow traffic to proceed. Truckers and farmers are not allowing it. I think the restrains on the RCMP part must be unheard of compared to any country.
Clearly, these truckers are doing something illegal, no? But, I supposed they feel that the Canadian government has been doing something illegal for 2 years, and nobody is hearing anyone.
