- It took years for Justine Sacco to recover and get a job that was comparable. - She wasn't a provider for her family, she was a trust fund brat. - She didn't have kids or a spouse wondering where that $2 million for horse shows and three private $50,000/year boarding schools, and the annual fundraising gala went. - Her entire job wasn't being the head of her own corporate office. Guarantee his clients walked next door to his unproblematic former partners at Merrill Lynch and his assets portfolio was immediately divvied up - to the winner the spoils. |
DP here. YES, he assaulted the girl. He threw the glass of smoothie on the head of the girl as she walked away. This is assault. Then he called them fuc1king loser immigrants, then he tried to push the door in where the girls were. Why did he need to do that? Glad he got fired. LOSER. The kid must be so proud of his racist daddy. |
His child went into anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the ER because they ignored his instructions not to put peanut butter in the smoothie. |
Honestly he sounds like a stupid or absent-minded parent. He ordered the smoothie just after 1PM and his kid was on the way to the hospital by 1:40PM. So he drove there and back home in 20 minutes or so. Then gave the kid the smoothie which put him into paralysis within 5 minutes of sipping it? If I had a kid that allergic to anything, I'd be making my smoothies at home. |

| What's the timeline? Some sources say the kid went to the hospital after the freak out incident as a CYA. I bet a rehab announcement will be forthcoming |
Incorrect. They left the peanut butter out of the smoothie as per his instructions. He said nothing about a deadly peanut allergy, so they didn’t clean out the blender from the last smoothie with peanut butter they made. Really $hitty parenting on his part, he doesn’t know how to deal w his own kids allergy |
|
He was mad because he said he told them his son had a peanut allergy and told them no peanuts. His son drank the smoothie and had a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. The child’s throat and mouth started swelling up and he needed an epi-pen shot. One shot wasn’t enough and his child collapsed to the ground and couldn’t breathe. They have him another epi-pen shot and he was rushed to the hospital.
Not excusing the guy. What he did was wrong but his child almost died so he went back to the store and lost it. |

Sounds like he ordered as much husband - who dislikes peanut butter - would, simply asking them to leave it out. When ordering for a child (or any person) with an allergy, especially a life-threatening one, you make sure there is no risk of contamination, that everything is thoroughly cleaned before being used or, most likely, not even ordering something for an allergic person from a place that uses the allergy food in their products!
This “dad” sounds like a crap parent and person all-around. |
^^ MY husband… |
I asked an honest question, you don’t have to punk me. A therapist? |
That is not true. Not sure why you are defending this POS |
He is the breadwinner, he probably doesn’t deal much with the kids day to day and didn’t really understand the logistics about dealing with a severe allergy. I think going back and yelling is understandable, it was the throwing and immigrant remarks that reveal his true nature that are problematic. Did he tell them his son was in the hospital, that would have garnered sympathy from a bunch of teenage girls I’m sure. Those saying a smoothie is not assault, it could have easily damaged her eyes, it was aimed at her face. |
