Why not just call the CEO of Smoothie King and tell them what happened? I mean...??? Or he could just take 5 minutes and blend his kid a smoothie at home, and never go back. Or hire a cook/housekeeper for this.

He is not the. CEO of Merrill Lynch, he's a CFP...Certified Financial Planner I'm guessing

Seems weird he said leave the peanuts out when ordering a smoothie. Was it a pre-set drink that usually contains peanuts?
Like saying I'd like the peanut butter and jelly smoothie at the Protein Bar but hold the peanut butter?

Also him coming in and ranting one hour later, "who made this drink?" is ridiculous, there were 4 of them working, how are they going to remember who made that particular drink?

Reddit says it had peanuts in it, which his son is allergic too. So probably a mixed up order.

We have a peanut allergy in family, I can definitely see getting upset about a mix up if my son drank it and felt sick, but these things do happen.

At risk of being attacked — I can sort of empathize with him. Peanut allergies are no joke.

It would have been one thing to come in and just plain scream profanities. But this POS went on a violent and racist tirade. There is no sympathy for him.

So why would a parent joke around with it by going to a place where cross contamination is likely to be an issue, then order a smoothie that normally has peanut butter in it, and then not even bother tasting it before giving it to your child to make sure the literal children working got it right? I know parents of kids with anaphylactic allergies and they would never put their kid at risk like that.

The dude went to terrorize a bunch of teenagers instead of going to the hospital with his kid. He couldn't have been too worried about him.

Silver lining is that now he has time to sit with his kid in the hospital.

My 2 cents is that there is something happening in his personal life. What father is not careful about cross contamination for a child who has peanut allergy, especially in a place where peanuts are used in smoothies. Very negligent father and a bully. Dig deep, something is happening with him. More will come out soon.

Didn’t the markets tank in recent days? Could have been a stressful day of work.

You’re never going to hear me say he was JUSTIFIED, I just said I can empathize since he feared for his kid’s health and life. And I think these immature teens filming everything for attention and then ginning up the dialogue for clout and viral fame is gross. All of this is gross and sad.

Got it, well I can’t empathize with putting your own child in danger and then…..assaulting a teenager about it, who you’re now berating as gross. Filming it for attention?? They filmed it so there would be evidence that it happened, and posted it so the schmuck would be identified and actually face consequences. What is wrong with you?

I don't think they filmed it for attention. They filmed him because they knew he was acting crazy and they were scared and they needed a record. If it was going to later be a he said vs what the girls said, the police may not have believed the girls account.
(I'm sure many of us have had our crazy Karen or Smoothie Guy moments and would be mortified to see it played back to us. Hopefully being called out can make us better humans, or at least treat people with dignity. Its better to be "good" than"right".)

They filmed it so he would have CONSEQUENCES, and thank God they did.

He “assaulted” them? No, he didn’t. But their laziness and/or incompetence did almost kill his kid and they apparently think it’s funny.

Nope. Daddy’s stupid choices almost killed his kid.
