How do you explain the chatter about thanksgiving week being also asynchronous? |
That chatter exists here only. Nobody in my school has mentioned it at all. |

Now that ACPS has called it, other districts will follow suit. |
+1000 Start planning for it now, Loudoun parents. |
I posted 5 days ago about the chatter. Once again you laughed. Once again here you are. Make plans for childcare. We are getting that week off too from school. |
It still hasn’t been called. I think they’re just gonna blend classes and put kids in the auditorium to watch movies if they have to. I realize ACPS has called it but they didn’t call the 2 days next week Loudoun had to . Mostly you’re just stirring up drama. |
I didn't laugh. I'm one of the PPs who stated before you that I expected it to happen. |
That would violate multiple covid protocols at my DD's elementary school. |
You can spread kids out in the auditorium. |
Loudoun doesn’t have any Covid protocols besides wear a mask and even that’s debatable. Our ES has assemblies. |
False. My kid's bus is close to empty because a whole class is quarantining in elementary. They have covid monitors going around giving out detention to kids who pull their mask down to drink water. |
Our elementary school has assigned seating everywhere. My Kindergartener sits at the table with the same 3 other kids in class, at lunch, at, library, etc. The thought behind this is that it reduces the number of children who will need to be quarantined if there's a positive case. They appear to be podded up with the same 4 or 5 kids for every indoor activity. |
