Your memory is not serving well. The dossier is totally a DNC/Clinton campaign funded thing...... |
SOME FACTS ABOUT THE 2016 TRUMP CAMPAIGN, RUSSIA AND THE STEELE DOSSIER
The Mueller Report detailed 140 COMMUNICATIONS between Team Trump and Russia. Everyone that has ever worked with Trump swears that NOTHING is done without his approval. He has the final word on all decisions. So, to think that Trump was oblivious to the communications between his team and Russians is just not realistic. Also, the Steele Dossier DID NOT launch the Mueller Report. The Mueller investigation was launched as an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, links between Trump associates and Russian officials and spies, and possible obstruction of justice by Trump and his associates. The only reference to the Steele Dossier in the Mueller Report is a single FOOTNOTE: “Rtskhiladze said 'tapes' referred to compromising tapes of Trump rumored to be held by persons associated with the Russian real estate conglomerate Crocus Group, which had helped host the 2013 Miss Universe Pageant in Russia. ... Cohen said he spoke to Trump about the issue after receiving the texts from Rtskhiladze. … Rtskhiladze said he was told the tapes were fake, but he did not communicate that to Cohen.” |
The Steele dossier was used - illegally - to continue the spying by the government by including information in the FISA warrants. Nobody is claiming that the Steele dossier began the investigation. But, I do recall that the liberals who frequent this site thought (and some still think) that it is a legitimate piece of work, when in reality, it is a piece of $hit. |
Parts of it had been corroburated, and parts of it are pieces of shit.
If Trump-Russia was such a hoax, why where there over 34 convictions including close advisors, the campaign manager, the national security advisor etc? |
Fusion GPS was hired by conservatives and they later hired Steele. You all act like Hillary herself hired him. What has been disproven? (As opposed to “not verified” for those in the back as you say) |
And why were Durham indictments all get off practically scott-free? Gee, I wonder why that could be (hint - all you are doing is proving the point of witch hunt true) |
Biden: (snidely smirking). “Where’s the money?” |
There's a much simpler explanation - and one that is borne out by the facts at hand - that you're refusing to even consider because you're a partisan hack. As it turns out, Trump hired a bunch of scoundrels and crooks to staff his campaign and administration, while pretty much everything the FBI did to investigate was above board. |
DP... I'd suggest YOUR memory is not serving well. The oppo research dossier was started by one of the Republicans running against Trump during the GOP primaries. That's an absolute fact. Later, Clinton and the DNC picked it up again with the oppo research group, and had them continue and expand on it. |
Around 75% of the dossier was fully corroborated by independent sources. Another 10% or so was corroborated with minor errors. The remainder is largely unproven. But very little of it was actually disproven. |
Republicans are already turning on Durham. Gaetz was calling him part of a cover up and the deep state yesterday. |
Or...hear me out...the people Durham tried to prosecute were, in fact, not guilty, and the people Mueller prosecuted, were, in fact. guilty. It takes some serious mental gymnastics to conclude otherwise. |
It has REPEATEDLY been claimed on this thread that the Steele dossier was the reason the FBI started the investigation. You look like a fool saying "nobody is claiming..." And regarding the FISA warrants, the only supposed "proven wrongdoing" there was that FBI agent Clinesmith failed to mention details about Carter Page previously having given information to the CIA. But then again, Carter Page wasn't exactly a willing participant - in that prior instance, Page wasn't a CIA operative or willing informant, he didn't reach out to the CIA and voluntarily offer up what he knew, instead he was red-flagged by the CIA for suspicious contacts with known Russian operatives and asked to come in for questioning. |
