Every candidate does oppo research. The problem here was the oppo research uncovered massive connections between Trump's people and people connected to a variety of foriegn countries including the Saudi's, Chinese, Israeli's and yes, Russians.[/quote]

Oppo research is one thing.  Oppo research that is based on Russian disinformation and is used as a basis for a years-long FBI investigation is quite another.

WRONG - the dossier wasn't the basis for the FBI investigation.  That's already been repeatedly disproven.  FBI opened the investigation because of Papadopoulous and other things well before they even heard of the dossier.  [/quote]

The dossier and the fake dirt drummed up by Clinton kept the investigation going and was included in the FISA warrants.

DP...  I'd suggest YOUR memory is not serving well.  The oppo research dossier was started by one of the Republicans running against Trump during the GOP primaries.  That's an absolute fact.  Later, Clinton and the DNC picked it up again with the oppo research group, and had them continue and expand on it.[/quote]
