we're right back where we were in 2020 and 2024 as far as abysmal POTUS job approval ratings are concerned. Nothing new to see here. |

CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten revealed Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s approval rating when it comes to foreign policy is “up like a rocket” compared to his first term numbers, but also currently higher “than any other” second term president “this century.”
Enten told anchor John Berman that the shift marks one of the clearest areas of improvement for Trump since returning to office. “This is one of the areas in which Donald Trump is performing significantly better than he was in term one,” Enten said, noting that Trump’s approval on foreign policy has jumped from 35% in his first term to 43% now. “Up like a rocket,” he added, calling it a “double digit rise” in net approval. “Normally when we look at these data points, we see that Trump is doing worse than other presidents. But on this one, he is doing significantly better,” he said. Flashing a graphic on screen showing past presidents, Enten revealed former President George W. Bush stood at 36% and former President Barack Obama scored 37% at this stage of their second terms, leaving Trump “the pack” leader among 21st-century two-term presidents. |
Bush and Obama’s parties were destroyed in 2008 and 2016, respectively. I would brag about a 39% approval rating. |

Only 28% approve of Trump on cost of living/inflation. This is getting really really bad.

I'm not going to tell the American people how to feel but actually I am.

| Big difference....Biden inherited a mess that CAUSED the inflation and he was trying to address it. What Trump is doing is making it worse, not better. And there is nothing about tariffs or tax cuts that helps make it better. |
Lol--Fox News will go find some illegal immigrant to blame Trump's low approval ratings on. |
That's sad. So people like Trump cozying up to Saudi Arabia and Russia and crapping all over Canada, Ukraine and our European allies. |
It's a cycle. Republicans cut taxes, balloon the deficit, deregulate banks to the point they cause financial crises and Democrats inherit the mess and spend the first two years making the hard decisions to stabilize the economy. |
|
Trump started his 2nd term with higher approval ratings than he had any point in his 1st term and now he has already reached the level of unpopularity that doomed him and the GOP throughout his 1st term and doomed Biden and the Dems in 2024. It's unlikely this Trump leopard will be changing his spots and magically becoming a more popular president from this point forward. This is why we're already seeing some GOP politicians attempt to separate themselves from Trump. The sooner they do, the better chance they'll have of keeping their heads above water when the ship goes down. Vance, Rubio and other members of Trump's staff will suffer the same political career ending fate as Harris and Pence did. |
Prices will continue to rise, jobs will continue to be cut, and everybody (including MAGA) will know that he’s just making it worse and has no answers. |
| So why are we letting him get away with all of this BS??? |
| Shittiest president of my 60 years, and as a former Republican. I truly cannot stand the man. There is so much good that he could have done for the country, but instead everything he does is petty and/or spiteful and/or stupid. |
