Change is definitely possible, but Derick posted hurtful, transphobic comments about and to Jazz Jennings (when she was still a child at the time), and then doubled down when called out, multiple times. In that area, he has far to go. But we are all evolving.

Yeah, I agree. I have a very close ex-fundie friend, and even all these years later after escaping, there are some aspects of he LGBTQ+ spectrum that she hasn't accepted. And I'm gay. She's fine with and has accepted gay people, but she still struggles with those who are trans and non-binary.

It’s unfortunate that the people who could learn something from that piece - that toxic patriarchy surrounds us all courtesy the GOP (for a shorthand) - will absolutely take nothing from that article.

Ahahaha Anna has been banned from visiting Josh! He's been remanded in prison for two months now and alll alone. Thanks to Covid rules they can only do video messages.

Anna, 33, isn’t even allowed to be in the same building as Josh, as all visits through the jail lobby kiosk have been suspended because of covid.

Anna must communicate with Josh through website Jail ATM, which provides access via email and video call.

Video calls are $0.25 per minute and emails are $5 per message.
