Change is definitely possible, but Derick posted hurtful, transphobic comments about and to Jazz Jennings (when she was still a child at the time), and then doubled down when called out, multiple times.  In that area, he has far to go.  But we are all evolving.[/quote]

Yeah, I agree. I have a very close ex-fundie friend, and even all these years later after escaping, there are some aspects of he LGBTQ+ spectrum that she hasn't accepted. And I'm gay. She's fine with and has accepted gay people, but she still struggles with those who are trans and non-binary. [/quote]
