It's pretty obvious who you are at this point. There are only a few parents with such an axe grind. I'm sorry your club isn't doing so hot right now and you feel you have to redirect your anger at a coach. Perhaps you should think about moving to Arlington.

Based upon the BSC parent(s), the 2008G team has talented Midfielders and D Backs. Sounds like they might need talented Strikers/Center Forwards.

Hence, if your DD is a talented CF/Striker, BSC might be a good option.

Nope, striker scored 4 goals at Celtic Union over the weekend. Center forward is healed now. Two players have been added to roster during the break. There are currently no real weak spots with the starters but does lack a bench.

One Goal that Celtic scored were off a free kick the goalie mishandled and Celtic put the rebound in. The other goal was an intended cross that deflected off the goalie's hands into the goal. Other than that, BSC possessed most of the game.

IF you are looking for a quality club, for ECNL, McLean needs help.

If you are not afraid of the current GA situation, FCV would be ideal.

If you don't care about rankings, I know, I know, they are only 12 and 13 year olds, blah blah blah. Please spare us of your ridicule. Some parents like to see how teams stack up against each other. Just forgive us and move on.

You ever noticed how none of the older age groups, 05, 04, 03 and such never seem to have pages dedicated to comparing clubs and ranking teams?

I wonder why that is?

Because they did not have rankings like this so don’t really know what to look for. Sort of like telling your grandmother about a smart phone.

They have them now and yet they currently don't post about them now. Why is that?

Because 03s have pretty much already decided what Colleges they are going to and it doesn't matter.

Pretty much same thing with 04s. Rankings do help place Showcase matchups however for those looking to impress D2/D3 schools.

Parents/players are still paying attention to rankings in U16, as again, is important to draw better match ups in showcase events. Coaches want to see kids play against better competition.

Obviously there will be people like you who downplay this. There is also a reason why you try to downplay rankings....

Wow. Sounds like BSC has a complete team full of talents. I don’t think talented players would want to join jus to sit on the bench.

^^

Better showcase events don't really improve ones recruitment. Coaches do not recruit teams they recruit players. A college coach does not know a team's record, they will never ask either.

They will attend games of players who both show interest and through film, ID camps and other variables will go and watch the player in action at a showcase they are attending.

They do not window shop.

And at U16 they are looking at everyone who is interested in them and then they will whittle the list down to follow up with. Simply being at a showcase that they are attending is enough. They are not going to bypass looking at ta player at some point in over the weekend because of the club or team they play for or the showcase matchup.

This is exactly why you don't see these types of threads for older teams, because the parents simply know better by then.

Every team on the above list will have players who will be scouted by colleges. EVERY SINGLE ONE. The recruitment is based on the player not the team. There will be great players on worse teams who will end up going to better soccer programs than average players on the top teams.

But keep posting the lists and thinking your team ranking is some form of predictor of where your kid will play college.

Oh, thank God the girl is healed now. The Bethesda excuses can now end. One player is responsible for a 25 goal differential swing.

LOL Pretty deep team if one player is so pivotal.

^ I am not a BSC parent but unfortunately BSC is the only best option for MoCo unless you are willing to drive across the river.

But seriously Dad, I'm glad your kid is playing again.

Well, the good news is you don't get yelled at on the bench.

ECNL was -6 GD. Scrimmages/Friendlies are what they are.

Yes, missing a CM with a high IQ will certainly affect your goal output. Some players fit positions better than others.

Good teams will always have battles for starting positions. Most talented players welcome the competition. So does a coach of a top team. And if the parents know what's good for DC, they would welcome the competition. What is not healthy is an 18 player roster...

Sounds more like a one trick pony team with zero depth. But then again, they are just scrimmages aren't they Dad.

What is the most common formation does 2008G teams typically use? 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or other?
