This has been rough to watch. There are glimmers of hope, as I still love Carrie and the gay guy and the new friends. Carrie is always a delightful and witty breath of fresh air. Honestly, the only parts of this show I find completely unappealing are Charlotte and Miranda. They’re both boring AF with boring storyline. Idk maybe I watch too much Real Housewives shows and am ready for a cast revamp, lol. If they write those two characters off the show and continue bringing in fresh faces and better talent, I think the show would do just fine.

Miranda and Charlotte as characters are way past their prime. Nothing to see there.

I mean seriously, did you hate watchers think this was going to be a Golden Girls reboot? I mean even Blanche was trying to get laid on the regular.

I am rewatching Golden Girls now. I’d much rather hear these dames talk about sex.

Charlotte used to be my favorite character when I watched SATC in college. I felt I had the most in common with her and she was what I wanted to be when I was in my 30s.

Watching her now that I’m 40 is different. She doesn’t seem to have grown or developed and I find her personality and mannerisms grating. I hate how she is still trying to impress exactly the right people to achieve social success in her tiny, inconsequential world. I know that 20 year old me would still love her, but 40 year old me is disgusted because I’ve lived and developed in a way Charlotte apparently has not. She’s gross.

Sure, when someone aspires to be a Park Avenue princess, that is by definition a narrow and superficial person. Her good relationship with Harry, the girls, and her friends redeem her though imo, even if she is the most boring and narrow of the three. They must have filmed the episodes out of sequence because the actress looked fabulous in the "Rock" episode but is back to stiff puffy lips in the others. Hope she lays off her face moving forward!

Our best friends have kids at an exclusive private school that does auctions. I have contributed items to their auction. There is zero chance I would go in person. There is also zero chance a math teacher would be 1K on a date. Nitpicksy but the whole scene was annoying.

Eh, you never know. I know multiple fancy private school teachers who come from money and this is their day job. They have lots of money to spend.
