Of course she got a salary increase and paid everyone else nothing? Why do you think the whole coaching staff has left who wants to work for her or LC and FL?

I was told on the coaching slate thread that I'm apparently being too negative. Our club went from having every age group with multiple teams, some age groups with 3-4 teams. I understand LB is a poor decision-maker, but she's not the one making decisions on development. This post is about LC and his decision to employ the academy system. It's also for any parent who is tired of the platitudes from people whom we pay a lot of money to teach the game to our children. I compiled the info on CCL and NCSL sites; NCSL only has the spring information now. LC told us that the academy system is the best because it works for kids in Europe. Well let's see how his tradecraft has worked:

W-L-D GF/GA/GD (place)

2009B Red (NCSL Div 3)
5-0-0; 16/3/+13 (1/10)

2009B White (NCSL Div 5)

I don’t understand. If you see unhappy with the club, change clubs. Why the constant complaining?

Each team looks competitive to me from these numbers—they seem to be in the appropriate divisions. Dude, sometimes the TALENT is just better at other clubs. Winning trophies isn’t the only goal for development but maybe I’m missing your point because you didn’t state one.

+1

As was said on the other thread good luck to this parent and their DC.

The season is almost over. You will soon be with your new club and wont have to obsessively research and post things like the first post above. Hoping you find peace of mind.

To the three PPs:
This club was once a great club and it was so great to be a part of it. And now, it's just not. Youth Soccer isn't about trophies, it's about development. So why does LC decide an entire framework solely around his teams? Why does LC not treat his players with respect to develop instead of playing the way he wants them to play?

I decided to post the information because somebody needs to call out the direction of this club.

You posted results illustrating each team is competitively placed in their respective leagues and divisions currently but insinuate the club stinks because they aren’t all among the tops in their divisions then have the gall to contradict yourself by saying the bolded bit above. when you leave please don’t come to my club.

You have no idea how much I agree with you in a sense.; except most of our CCL teams are clearly struggling in CCL. We SHOULD have just moved to CCL2 or NCSL because LC losing his temper because our team was struggling is clearly an indicator. Since you're unfamiliar to the club:
Red squad (first team)
White squad (second team)

Several of our red squads are now not playing in CCL (designated for first squads); and we DON'T have anymore third teams. We barely have girls teams as is but this is so upsetting. I'd rather not drive long distances for DC to play, meaning I wished we would have just moved to a different venue.

I know nothing about LMVSC but from my observation it's a myopic take on the situation at hand. It's a bit unfair to judge en entire framework on the Spring season results in the wake of COVID, when many players across the region sat out last Spring and some only trained and didn't play matches this past fall--putting about an 18-month gap between their last competitive outdoor matches + lots of COVID-induced roster turnover (along with other factors that usually/will always impact roster turnover). COVID could have held back infusion of additional talent (as well as stemmed the flow of talent going out the door).

Are the White and Red rosters are significantly different now than they were pre-COVID? And are the teams about as competitive standings-wise as they were in the last full season (Fall 2019) before COVID?

I appreciate your input and view on things. To clarify:
CCL results are year-long
I think almost all of the NCSL teams moved divisions

The academy system was supposed to be best for the players but it looks like it was best for LC; also not supposed to be the for HS-aged groups. But too many age groups only have one team, and, I know at least the 2005G age group has combined to form their academy.

And what about the 2 teams on the girls side that were actually PAC teams? They are losing them to EDP for PAC next year.

OP that posted the standings; I didn't include any of the filler teams. I didn't even point out the missing teams.

I don't understand why people blame academy, it can work, but it only works if there is a player pool. If you only have one team in an age group then you don't have an academy
