It’s in the works and that’s why LB is trying to merge the club.

With who?

Gunston but LB backed out. Word is another possibility with Premier AC.

Sully at PAC is too smart to do that. He is a kind dude and offered to help by lending them a team while the get their act together. He would never go down on that sinking ship.

PAC is going to EDP.

Only a few teams. Most will stay NCSL.

The ones who filled in for LMVSC in CCL are both going, I’d assume - so LMVSC may to find another club to fill in...

I think They are sending their 07 boys team too. That team is really talented too.

I believe PAC will use EDP as a 2nd league for a couple of their better teams who also play in NCSL . Team America something similar plays in both edp and NCSL simulltainiously

Does EDP not have enough games each season? Why would teams play both?

Just for the competition

Correct, level of competition, and when using LMVSC's CCL slot, any ranking points accumulate to LMVSC apparently, not PAC/the team, so better for them to do it under their own banner. For the top PAC '07 girls, who played in LMVSC's CCL slot this season, NCSL hasn't been mentioned recently, only EDP.

A recent coaching announcement was made for the ulittle boys and girls with a college coach taking the reigns. Nice resume but seems to have been through a number of clubs in the area recently. There is a big developmental difference between coaching a 18-22 yo and a 7-8 yo, yet lmvsc indicates the seasoned college assistant coach’s expertise is U9 development. Really?

Being around soccer for a bit, I need to question the level of commitment the coach will be able to provide during the year, especially in the fall. College seasons are typically played from August - November (December if NCAA tournament bound). What can be expected for practices and games, where the coach(es) have conflicting college commitments? Will practices be changed weekly to accommodate the coaches schedule? What time will practices be? Will the couch be practicing 4 nights a week or will the uñittle be practicing until 8 or 8:30 on certain nights?

There is a rumor of another college coach coming in on HS boys side. With VA and the college season being played at the same, how will this work? Many MD clubs have college coaches wIth HS ages pero the MD does not play club in the fall to focus on HS soccer. Is lmvsc going to have a college coach in the HS age, juggling college/club in fall (likely missing club due to obligations with college), while sitting idle in the spring while the club players play HS and leagues don’t have a full schedule for the HS age groups?

Was this thought through prior to assignments?

This has nothing to do with the realities of a college coach also working with ulittles. Yet again, this is LB preying on the uniformed parent who sees the bright and shiny “college coach” pedigree and automatically assume LMVSC must be a really good club to draw such talent. Unfortunately, once you’re in - you’re stuck regardless of whether that coach steps one foot on to field.

Oh snap. I thought they were shooting video for an upcoming Diners, Drive-ins and Doves with Guy Fieri. Maybe talking about a new food truck he was bringing special for the newest age group. Maybe this is why LB was caught videoing as well, putting the entire soccer staff at a u little tryout.

That must be the new coach.

This signals that RL is no longer with the NextGen age groups. Is he leaving the club? Since LC has been at lmvsc, RL has been moved 2x. Is this his 3rd or is he gone? Rumor is Coach Larissa is being moved from the 07 girls. It’d be surprising if this is true as she saved the age group after the last mass exodus.

I thought VA HS was spring and college soccer is Fall. And you’re complaining about having someone who is probably overqualified for the “job”. Volunteer to coach yourself then or find another club.

a college coach working with u9's is so ridiculous. have fun seeing how that works out.

Youre smart. VA HS age teams in CCL play in the fall and take the spring off. If a college coach is hired to coach games and practices, what are odds he/she will have multiple conflicts?

From what I hear, you couldn’t pay me enough to work for LB, much less do it for free.

What a blessing it is that these are our complaints and problems. We all need to relax. This is so minuscule. Everything’s going to be ok even if your kid happens to be on a bad team for a year or you over pay a club for a year. Life goes on. You can make a better decision next time.

Did I miss the 2021 townhall or has it not been announced yet?

FWIW, one of the Baltimore Armour coaches also coaches a D1 men's program. The same holds true for the Richmond Strikers. One of it's coaches coaches D1.

There are at least a half dozen examples in our area on the boys side alone. Plus, most of the coaches I know also coach HS clubs. These coaches seem to handle both responsibilities well. LMVSC getting the Marymount men's coach is a definite plus.

You went from "seem to handle" to "is". If your argument is based on a precedent of 'seems to work', you shouldn't assert it is a definite plus. Just say 'LMVSC getting the Marymount men's coach seems to be a definite plus'. So to address your claim that it IS a definite plus, there's nothing which indicates this is true. Give the coach time but first there have got to be players.
