I think that what went unsaid during the house hunting scene is that Candiace probably expects to pay for the house with her RHOP money. I'll bet they're not allowed to mention those paychecks on the show, but they're probably a good amount.

Robyn’s renovated house looked nice, but seriously - who is going to buy a nice house in a terrible neighborhood? Seems like she over-improved it. Even her realtor acknowledged it was a bad neighborhood.

The situation with Ashley’s dad was sad, but why do I get the feeling she’s milking it? She seemed to relish telling (and retelling) the story of how he shut the door in her face. Seems like that would be a heartbreakingly private moment, but I guess not.

If so that's optimistic of her. From what I can tell they give big $$ to celebs to lure them in, and pay the biggest stars of each franchise really well (Nene, Bethenny, Vicki, etc) but for housewives at Candiace's level (not their first season but not integral to the plot or a fan favorite) anything over $250k a season would be a shock.

Thanks for clarifying! I didn't know they made so little (for the entertainment industry). If she's not making more than $250K, she better hope she can access that phantom trust fund now!

She doesn't make what the others make who have been on the show longer. A few housewives have said their first year salary is next to nothing, less than $20k and it takes awhile to hit six figures if you are not a somebody, have not been around a long time or make a name for yourself outside the show like Bethenny and Nene. Love them or hate them they command higher salaries. Even if she did make $250k she'd need a boost from her mother to make the payments and properly maintain the home.

Candiace and her mother. Yowser. They are a duo -- I can't imagine why anyone would want to be around either of them.
