Agreed not to attack. However think sidebar comments can sometimes answer other posters' comments that can clear up confusion about the subject in this case - the young woman. And if related to investigation -her parents, friends, strangers et al that were with or near her. |
Any further green card process discussion should be taken to a seaprate thread. You can create one if there isn't already a thread to join. |
On page whatever, it was agreed not to agree on what happened. Yet. |
Source? Are you one of her friends at the bar or the other guy that was with Riibe to know what a bartender may have said? Another person at the bar if there were any other persons at the bar at that time? If they have footage of bar, they can find the bartender you write about. Don't make up shit right now if it isn't. |
There can be safety in numbers. She could have been SA’d after wrestler passed out, no on can know, if he is telling the truth. She could have been slipped something, OD’d and her body was dumped. If staff or locals are responsible they likely had access to a vehicle so the narrow water search could be irrelevant. She could be like Natalee and not found. For her parents sake, hope not. For the people who have not been to Caribbean, dealers lurk at Ocean City and DE beaches too and drinks are spiked. LE is more likely to be corrupt and govt more focused on protecting tourism rather than safety, but happens lots of places. A very pretty very impaired young woman draws lots of eyes, esp heading from a bar into a dark, remote area. |
People claim they heard it. Still not proof of what happened and where she is but there are more than simplistic possibilities. |
Which "people claim they heard it" was the question. |
The green card sidebar is very interesting. And relevant to the thread to counter all the anti-Indian chatter. |
trip advisor review of riib from 3 days ago describing how hot and chaotic every thing was:
Checked in 4th March ‘25. Staff were very surly and unwelcoming. Lugged our large suitcases to our room (would gladly have tipped). No air conditioning and ceiling fan not working. Safe broken but was promptly repaired. Plastic glasses and rubbish scattered all over the place, outside and inside. Managed to get to sleep about 3AM because of the noise. First full day there…chaos. No running water, no electricity. Saw our holiday rep at 9 AM who asked us to come back at midday. He brought 5 more reps with him to cope with the huge volumes of complaints from other guests! While the hotel is on the beach, there are no umbrellas to protect from the sun and all sunbeds look like they had been arranged by a hurricane. Food was abysmal. Because of the electricity situation, only one small buffet restaurant was open to feed about 1500 people. No plates, no seating…like a bun fight at the zoo! Another sleepless night because of the noise, chairs thrown over balconies, fighting outside our accommodation. Tried to call reception several times but no answer! We made up our minds that we would ship out even if we had to pay additional but luckily our holiday provider a fab hotel not very far away. Far and away the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I wouldn’t even give it one star. And by the way, I have never complained about a hotel before! |
review of riiu from two days ago:
We had a horrible experience at the hotel (Riu Republica in Punta Cana, March 1-7 2025). When we arrived, at check in they offered us a "free" upgrade to a better room and we fell for it. The room they gave us had no working AC or fan, we could barely sleep because of the heat. The next day was mostly lost complaining, we had to complain 5 different times, and the answer was always "we sent a technician to fix it" (who never showed up). At 8:30 pm a manager spoke to us and promised us they would transfer us to another (all adults) hotel, but when we packed and came back, just as they were going to cut our bracelets and initiate the hotel transfer, they told us we were going to a family hotel (with loud kids and music). We refused. They ended up sending the technician who fixed the ceiling fan, but the AC didn't work the whole week. After the rocky start to our vacation we expected the bad experience to end there, but 2 days later the hotel had no running water or power for 26 hours. This meant no flushing the toilets, no showers, no wifi, no AC or fan, no clean towels, among other inconveniences. There was no plan and no solution for this, there wasn't even enough dinner for all the guests and the lines were about 30 minutes long. The staff was incredibly rude, the restaurants never had any available clean tables, and overall the service left a lot to be desired. The hotel offers 5 different restaurants for dinner, what they don't tell you is that they don't open every day, and you need to start lining up before 5:30 pm every day if you want to get a spot, losing even more precious vacation time. Overall terrible experience at this hotel, will never stay at a RIU hotel again. |
Does anyone have a link to the socials someone upthread mentioned about bartender conversing with young woman at bar? |
May be they were afraid of swapping Indian citizenship of American, only to be deported if a president felt like it any given morning. |

The resort was in poor condition, the food was below standard, the pool was gross. It would be better to spend extra money and go to a place that is clean and safe. This resort would not be worth your time...I know you are thinking how could it be that bad but take it from me and don't waste your money. Snorkeling was fun though. |

This resort was horrible from the moment we checked in. No AC in our room for 2 days, once we finally said something to the front desk the air did somewhat come on but then there was a drip from the vent. Food was horrible, never got a buzz from the cocktails being served, key cards to room didn’t work, mold around the shower heads with poor water pressure. 2 girls from the trip had bed bug bites. Horrible experience then to hear the week after we left the hotel had no power, no WiFi, no running water. Then a 20 year old college student went missing. Never again would I stay at RUI republica. |
