Why on earth would a good player’s dad want to draw even more attention to his daughter going into the playoffs, or provide opponents with bulletin board material? Heck, there is not even a way to determine if compliments are genuine or not.

100% agree. Everyone knows it is not the JMU's Dad. Most of the positive hype comes from opponents who respect her game and not even within Oakton. It is easy to read between the lines. We should be celebrating the success of all of these outstanding players -- Concorde is an extremely tough district just to get to Regionals. Just ask Chantilly & Westfield -- both would have a solid chance at beating Champe (also a very good team) and advancing to States.

Agreed. This should include all teams.. rather than constantly putting certain teams down because of the region or conference they happen to be a part of.. certain posters seem to forget that these players don't control where their school is located. I think we need to celebrate all teams.. including the teams that do have an easier route to states. That doesn't mean they aren't as talented or don't work as hard.

Pp.. I know for fact Battlefield players would love to be a part of a more challenging conference and region during their regular season play. So agreed!

We often lose sight of what high school athletics does for all of our girls. This is what it is all about. Makes them better prepared for life as so many lessons are taught and learned. Kudos to all coaches, parents and players who support each other.

Love this & agree! My bad above focusing only on Concorde. So many talented and hard working players across all the teams.

Played Westfield and Champe. Only on a good day would Westfield win.

I'm betting Woodson beats West Potomac in Regional Finals and both move on to States.

Would love to see this happen for West Potomac but that means they'd have to beat Robinson.

Not sure that's accurate. Played both as well and Westfield would run over Champe, 8+ goal win.

I think everyone would love to see Battlefield be a part of the more challenging conference and region. That way the board would never ever here about them again.

I agree. For the past three years we've seen that Westfield has a trio who are extremely strong players. I understand that those three can't carry an entire team but they do a great job giving some of our teams a good run.

Especially #19 and #24. Couple other good players too.
