PP asking for an example. Am fine with those two restrictions on books. But in Europe the bans are much broader. |
I thought Elon was all about free speech. He seems confused. |
He may be. And you may be. If you are looking for hate speech about Nazis, go find it on whatever crap platform promotes it. Go watch that AH that likes to carry on about dead kids being crisis actors. He will let people promote Nazis as much as they want. |
there are plenty of Nazis being welcomed back to twitter. Ye just went a little too far |
Well too bad for him. Good riddance. |
Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Gapes of Wrath, Lady Chatterly's Lover.... There are of course plenty of books banned at state/library/school district levels, anything from 1984, to To Kill a Mockingbird, Brave New World, and Of Mice and Men What book banning by members of the EU do you take exception to? |
That thread goes on and on and on and, as I said when I linked it, covers many cases which are NOT just about school libraries. |
I can go on amazon and purchase any of those books right now. A government not purchasing and distributing a book is not the same as a ban |
And as the Nazis come back, a number of journalists who for example reported on the rise of neo-Nazism, the rise of the Proud Boys and other violent right wing extremism have been SUSPENDED from Twitter without explanation and without any apparent violation of the Twitter ToS. |
You seem to be confused. Elon has let plenty of bad actors back into Twitter. Either he’s for free speech or he’s not. |
How are any of these banned by the U.S. government? (Lady Chatterley's Lover may have been banned long ago as pornography, but it isn't today.) |
+1 |
Sounds like really important stuff you are looking up! lol Twitter is actually nice when it comes to watching videos contained in an article, but I just fail to see how moderating hateful and obnoxious people on an app is some kind of major issue. And the poster rambling on about nazis or white supremacy is just out of their mind. There are all sorts of people pushing hateful rhetoric on the net. |
