Trump's speech last night was the exact opposite of what a president should say. While I didn't like Kirk's philosophy his death is tragic and just a continuance of the politically inspired violence that is affecting this country. Trump is trying to turn Kirk into a martyr and putting all the blame on the radical left. He's pouring fuel on the fire. When the Minnesota people were gunned down by a right wing nut Trump barely said anything. Words matter and Trump knows it but he consistently uses words that stoke the flames rather than put them out. He's the first president in my lifetime to handle things this way.
