Disabled babies are future criminals?

Gotta say, I find the whole think of the poor, disabled babies trope pretty disgusting. You don't know what other people are dealing with as they make their decisions and this is yet another instance where folks like to be righteous without having to take on any of the hardship.

A good friend of mine terminated a wanted pregnancy when she found out the fetus had a severe congenital birth defect that would cause lifelong physical and mental disabilities and challenges. The kicker is that she already has a child with that birth defect (it's not considered genetic) and chose to have him, and went to great lengths to do everything she could to increase his chances for success. But after watching him live with his disabilities, endure yearly, lengthy surgeries, know all the challenges that will face him his entire life, not to mention the effect on his older brother who is not disabled, they couldn't continue the pregnancy. I guess people will still judge, but I trust that women know what's right for them and their families.

I think the person who leaked should be fired/disbarred but I'm not sure we should be naming random people as the leaker.

I think this is one more sign the leaker is from the Thomas/Alito camp rather than one of the liberal justices. This is the second clerk of a liberal justice he has named as the leaker in just two days, and he is clearly trying to deflect attention from the conservative justices.

Wow. Assuming that the clerk is not in fact the leaker, that sounds like actionable slander to me. But deflect/deny is the GOP M/O, so we must be getting close. Ginny, times are about to get tough for you girl.

Which ahole is naming these clerks?

To These GOP's who want to compel women to have children:

* Day care costs - on average $2,000/mos , which is about half of the salary of the average American - and you pay PER CHILD

THAT is a DIRECT disincentive to have children

* Currently women in America only get 6 weeks maternity leave - don't return after 12 months and YOU'RE FIRED

THAT is s disincentive to have a child

* The average American man with an IQ of 100 earns $7/hr

THAT is a disincentive to women to have their baby

Banning Abortion will just ensure No Woman ever f'cks these sorry sacks again -

And more women will move to the NE and West Coast with their College degrees, Masters and PhD's

It will NOT result in more babies born to uneducated, under employed men with no pension

If this opinion holds, every year on the anniversary of it, women should abandon their unwanted babies in front of the Supreme Court.

Has no one else noticed that these holier-than-thou-have-every-baby Bible thumpers keep having kids until they have one with a disability and then they stop? Point. Blank. ACB and Sarah Palin come to mind. I know two other evangelical families like this.

I do hope he is afraid for his life- If every woman in America has potentially had her very life put in jeopardy by his ruling - HE should feel equal risk

I'm white and when I was PG at 25, the clinic that I went to had a SW practically salivating over the $$$$ she could make " finding an adoptive home" for my baby ( born to a healthy, attractive , college educated woman who did not do drugs ).... she was a LCSW, and yet, her hand shook as she handed me her " business card" and " assured me that she knew a lawyer who could help me and pay my expenses"

SICKENING thing : unknown to her, a few weeks later I miscarried, and she called me to " check up on how I was doing " ....likely she had a family with $$$$ all lined up ( and her commission ) When I told her, through tears, that I had had a miscarriage - her response was a DIAL TONE

So, no, there will be a market for white babies and they won't spend a split second in a basket on the SCOTUS steps-

But the AA children who already fill the Foster care rolls and are never adopted- Not so Much

I think many conservatives (women and men) would view both a decline in casual sex and liberals leaving their state as a positive effective of the new laws rather than a threat.

As they continue to bankrupt themselves as the tax revenue leaves their state and everyone that's left is fighting for the same pennies of welfare.

First of all, that is a gross thing to say. No one should be afraid for their life. Not Alito, not that poor clerk of Breyer's who had her name leaked as the "likely source" by some right-wing ahole, and not you. Second of all, I am BEGGING UMC white women from Nova to STOP MAKING THIS ABOUT THEM. This isn't about you. Abortion is illegal in McLean or Potomac tomorrow, your dd gets pregnant Friday, on Saturday she's on a plane to Canada. This isn't about you or your dd. It's about millions of low-income POC who can't afford an uber to the airport let alone a plane ticket to Ontario. Stop with the dramatics, go give money to an abortion fund.

What, you think Brett Kavanaugh himself will walk out onto the steps of crying babies and think "Gee, I was wrong"? You think Amy Coney Barrett will feel remorse for this? No. They'd call social services to come get all the babies. You're acting like this is a movie. It's real life. People will suffer and the assholes who did this don't give a single f uck.

There are crazy extremists of all types. My guess is that he was probably getting death threats and the USSS decided that he should not attend.

What what what? The GOP says everyone is overjoyed with the new hand maiden’s tale!!

Eh and he should grow some ovaries. Go on out there with your sht opinions and treason against the country, Sammy! Go meet the people! Live your disgusting truth and deal with the consequences! I mean if women aren’t people, then surely they’re not capable of doing much damage.

+1 no kidding. Women have to risk death based on his opinion and he can’t handle hecklers?
