Same thing for GA + DPL/Aspire/GA2

FWIW, the scuttlebutt around the GA circles I'm in (nothing official), is it'll SY. This IS different from a few months ago -- when it was a big question mark and more of wait-and-see.

My kid's at one of the biggest GA and MLSN clubs in the nation and we've heard nothing.

There has been a push for wins (more than usual). But if dont know if this is anything specific or just our DOC doing his job.

MLSN 2/GA and down are just money makers (hopefully) for them so they will SY more than likely. If some players in MLSN2 can play MLSN then they will fit them into their BY teams.

The longer MLSN and GA say nothing the more likely them staying BY becomes.

I think theyre holding out to see what happens with NCAA and US Soccer.

To be fair, MLSN doesn't seem to communicate well about, well, anything. So this is pretty par for the course. I don't think it is indicative of what they are planning. Hell, they still haven't officially announced the name of MLSN2 and that kicks off in some areas of the country next month! They won't say anything, either way, until the last possible moment is my guess. That's what they do with literally everything else. Of course, what the 'last possible moment' is is anyone's guess...

We just joined an MLSN club and it has been a struggle to get anything out of the directors or the league itself, I realize that is kind of par for the course, but I have not been impressed with the competition or their organization so far.

I don’t see how saying nothing at this point leads someone to believe it will stay the same? The only time the leagues need to say anything about the registration cutoff is before tryouts, and that’s a long way away. I can see MLSN and GA slow playing it to keep people on board as long as possible. But if you believe the change to SY will be a better fit for your DD or DS, then you better be looking at those leagues and teams this fall and spring.

Your logic makes no sense.

MLSN GA have all current BY rules defined. You seem to think that if a competitor makes a change that they have to respond? Again, MLSN GA have all current BY rules defined.

It is shocking really. For such a highly regarded league to be so woefully bad at comms and operations is wild. I know people don't like ECNL either, but they are waaaaay better at that stuff.

MLSN GA have all current BY rules defined. You seem to think that if a competitor makes a change that they have to respond? Again, MLSN GA have all current BY rules defined.

Some soccer parents are so entitled.

If you like SY go to a club or league that has communicated that it will be implemented. If not shut up and stop the nonsense campaign trying to get all other leagues to do what you want. US Soccer gave leagues the option to implement whatever grouping works best for them. If youre not playing in that league dont worry about it.

Some soccer parents are so fragile, that they can't handle a discussion about the viability of having two different registrations.

That has been our experience so far. Does your child play for MLSN? Can you give us a positive review about your experience?
