The best players on the team have traditionally also been the best teammates. The same is true this year. There will be malcontents that like to post on anonymous forums as that's where they live. Don't believe the haters. Believe the results.

I think the point the PP was just alluding to the toxic nature of the coach and not a comment on girls as teammates. New theory: the coach intentionally trauma bonds them to create a tight knit team and it has proven to lead to success.

The girls are generally pretty respectful of one another and good teammates. The toxic culture is more about the coaching, mental and emotional abuse, mind games, inconsistent treatment of players etc etc. there were 200 posts about this that got deleted.

This is accurate. Please consider this if your daughter has applied to SR. The emotional abuse becomes all consuming and the school turns a blind eye. Visi or Potomac would be better choices if your daughter needs high level lax - HC or Holton for more playing time opportunities but still good academics.

PP - I was talking about sssas but the SR experience sounds bad too.

Interesting theory - please expand.

The coach isn’t smart enough or with it enough to think that’s strategically. If they are trauma bonded it’s organic. The culture problem stems from the coach. Most of the girls who have succeeded were developed elsewhere like Pride ( back in the day ) or have done so much outside coaching that along with their innate athletic ability have helped them succeed. Poll the players and they will tell you they have learned nothing from this coach. Coach gets all the credit and accolades but she can’t even really coach. It’s all the girls. Ask any parent. Maybe she could coach back when this was an emerging sport but not now.

Not Dad 👨 or even SR parent but can we all just say she’s is a fantastic goalie especially for a freshman? Let’s give her a break. She can’t help who dad is. If she leaves SR (which I highly doubt) I hope she finds a good home.

Is there even any other ISL schools that have freshman keepers? Idk, I find it quite admirable that she’s able to hold her own at a powerhouse like that.

Most of Pride 2026 Red was the bulk of a McLean Youth Lacrosse A team. Those coaches developed that team from 1st grade on.

wow tough loss for Bullis

While all of the SR boo birds continue to squawk, the Gators finish 7-0 in the ISL regular season. ISL regular season champions. Not bad for a team that plays 5 Freshmen throughout the game.
