I think the point the PP was just alluding to the toxic nature of the coach and not a comment on girls as teammates. New theory:  the coach intentionally trauma bonds them to create a tight knit team and it has proven to lead to success. [/quote]

The coach isn’t smart enough or with it enough to think that’s strategically. If they are trauma bonded it’s organic. The culture problem stems from the coach. Most of the girls who have succeeded were developed elsewhere like Pride ( back in the day ) or have done so much outside coaching that along with their innate athletic ability have helped them succeed. Poll the players and they will tell you they have learned nothing from this coach. Coach gets all the credit and accolades but she can’t even really coach. It’s all the girls.  Ask any parent.
