Thanks. In reading the DC equivalent site, it seems that anyone unable to obtain an attorney ahead of the first hearing is entitled to have a court ordered attorney for the first hearing. That may have been the case (no pun intended) here.

What does it matter really? The issue is that a HOS and former Outplacement Director was accessing these sites and encouraging harm to children. The computer he used does not really matter as much as the fact that he was doing it!
