At least this time the U.S. immediately called for a cease fire, instead of waiting a month like they did in 2006 to see if Israel could bomb its way to peace and security. It didn’t work in 2006 and it won’t work now. And the U.S. needs to stop giving Israel cover. As we all know, when a friend is toxic and dragging you down, it’s not really a friendship.

Each time either Hezbollah or The Lebanese army has attacked first.

Pointing out the level of violence that Israel is inflicting on others is not the same as “cheering on” Hamas / Hezbollah. If you add up the body count and damage of both sides it is clear Israel has gone too far.

Pointing out the level of violence that Israel is inflicting on others is not the same as “cheering on” Hamas / Hezbollah. If you add up the body count and damage of both sides it is clear Israel has gone too far.

The bigger threat is Israel. Say what you will of Hezbollah, it doesn't systematically corrupt American institutions and make them an instrument of their own policy the way Israel does.

The complete destruction of Israel would be in America's interests. It is not an ally so much as a foreign master, and our country will be vulnerable until the Jews seeking to manipulate American policy to serve Israel's goals are eliminated from positions of influence.

I am sure this is what you truly believe and were taught but it’s not so clear cut. Hezbollah was created when Israel was occupying Lebanon to help drive them out. From what I understand it was founded by Palestinians who were displaced from Israel and living in Lebanon and had a grudge against Israelis for sure and were attacking Israel from Lebanon. But it was not the Lebanon itself that attacked Israel.

I am sure this is what you truly believe and were taught but it’s not so clear cut. Hezbollah was created when Israel was occupying Lebanon to help drive them out. From what I understand it was founded by Palestinians who were displaced from Israel and living in Lebanon and had a grudge against Israelis for sure and were attacking Israel from Lebanon. But it was not the Lebanon itself that attacked Israel.

Hezbollah was founded by Shi'ite Lebanese in response to Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon and involvement in the Civil War. Israel invaded in part because the PLO had set up their HQ in Lebanon after being kicked out of Jordan following the events of Black September. However Israel became fully embroiled in the sectarian Civil War which had at least 4 distinct sides. The PLO had also become embroiled in the Civil War but it should be remembered that, especially at that time, it was radically secular while Hezbollah is radically Shia.
