Why doesn’t Mexico have an armed resistance to the U.S.? Why doesn’t Spain have an armed resistance to France? Because Mexico and Spain aren’t being invaded and/or bombed to smithereeens every 20 years or so by those countries, that’s why. Israel has invaded and bombed Lebanon in: 1978. 1982. 2006. 2024. At least this time the U.S. immediately called for a cease fire, instead of waiting a month like they did in 2006 to see if Israel could bomb its way to peace and security. It didn’t work in 2006 and it won’t work now. And the U.S. needs to stop giving Israel cover. As we all know, when a friend is toxic and dragging you down, it’s not really a friendship.
Each time either Hezbollah or The Lebanese army has attacked first. I’m sure when the IDF kill of Hezbollah, the people of Lebanon can hopefully govern themselves.
The bigger threat is Israel. Say what you will of Hezbollah, it doesn't systematically corrupt American institutions and make them an instrument of their own policy the way Israel does. The complete destruction of Israel would be in America's interests. It is not an ally so much as a foreign master, and our country will be vulnerable until the Jews seeking to manipulate American policy to serve Israel's goals are eliminated from positions of influence.
