A GOP committee source following Mulvaney’s press briefing: “His diatribe has blown up the Sondland interview—Democrats are referring to the transcript mid-interview. WTF” |
I would, having at points during this administration rooted for Jefferson Beauregard Sessions of all people. |

Schiff is an idiot. I am sure his source misconstrued or misrepresented Mulvaney's comments. He's still an idiot, though. |
That's what Mulvaney said.

Try harder. Mulvaney acknowledged in front of cameras that quid pro quo happened. |
"We do that all the time" -- Mick Mulvaney re: holding up money to get something in return (i.e. dirt on Biden). |
Did Mulvaney commit sepuku right after this admission? He's worse in front of the press than Sean Spicer. |
I'm sorry, I think you mean Mulvaney is an idiot. He seems to think that by cheerfully and forcefully admitting to corruption and illegal conduct, that no one will care. He is very, very wrong, and he's in a lot of trouble now. |
It seems like a ploy by Trump to get impeachment wrapped up as quickly as possible so Mitch can kill it in the Senate. They are now just openly committing crimes and admitting to them so the House will be forced to impeach. It's a crazy strategy, but I understand what they are trying to do. An acquittal means Trump takes a victory lap just before the 2020 election, even if 60% of the country hates his guts. He is gleeful to rub it in his non-supporters' faces that he is above the law. |
If the Senate acquits Trump of clear crimes, then our Republic is dead. |
No, Trump isn't that strategic. He's lost in dementia and Mulvaney is just nuts. |
The criminal referrals need to start going out for all the conspirators other than Trump. |
Seems like Russia/Saudis/Turks finally found a man they can rely upon and do their bidding. But I still stand by my assertion that they are now doing all this brazen stuff on purpose. They want the evidence to be clear so the House feels compelled to wrap it up quickly. If I were Nancy, I'd open up a new set of impeachment charges (emoluments) once the current set of charges related to Ukraine are sent to the Senate. Keep it going, don't give the GOP a moment to breath or gloat. |
Barr won't move on them, he's part of the pact. That's why Trump fired Sessions, he wouldn't go along with this and just stonewall Congress. |
