He doesn't care about "winning" the case. This lawsuit was never about winning. Why do you think Johnny insisted that cameras be allowed in the court room, while Amber was opposed to that?

He just wants to get employed again, and he does that by showing the she's just as much at fault. It shifts the narrative from "Johnny is an abuser" to "Johnny and Amber had a volatile and unhealthy relationship." Your career in Hollywood can recover from the latter, but not the former.

I bet he's back in a blockbuster movie within 2 years.

Watching Amber’s testimony as a former child witness to and victim of domestic violence, her descriptions of a raging alcoholic ring absolutely true. I honestly think that Johnny Depp just doesn’t recognize how violent and terrifying he was while intoxicated - my father was the same way, he never understood why his children regarded him from a place of fear at all times.

They are basically two of the worst-matched people on the planet. They both need sobriety and YEARS of individual therapy before they should even date (let alone live together or marry). Instead of encouraging these two to record each other during fights, their therapist should have told them to just hang it up.
