Oh, please. The problem with our system is that rich, white collar criminals are getting away with financial crimes every day that affect us all. And the biggest white collar criminal of all is in the Oval Office. Clearly, Americans haven’t cared about justice in decades.

Karen Read = Casey Anthony = OJ Simpson.

Dp not even close.

And to the poster who keeps saying ‘oh she got off because Proctor sent those lewd texts. That’s not it at all.

There was so much shady behavior by the party goers. There’s clearly a story there. Maybe one of them will finally crack.

How would you feel about this trial if it were proven that no one is to blame for John’s death? How would you feel about Karen Read and the idea that she had been unjustly accused? Would you feel understanding that she had to fight for innocence in court, or would you maybe find it hard to accept that she didn’t do it after thinking of her as guilty all this time?

Just curious if anybody who thinks she is guilty would feel bad if they learned that there was some incontrovertible proof that she had nothing to do with it.

If there were video, I would accept it immediately.

Since you asked, if there were video of KR hitting him, would you accept it?

Of course. I personally have no idea what happened that night and have not seen enough evidence to convince me of any theory, so if I were a juror, I would be morally constrained to vote not guilty. To me, the evidence points to a tragic accident. But if there were a video or an eyewitness to what I happened, that would make a difference.

I ask because so many of the posters on the Reddit “sanity” thread seem to be very, very sure that she is guilty, even without definitive proof thereof. They appear invested in her guilt, to a point where they were posting about looking forward to her being handcuffed and humiliated upon entering prison. That struck me as a very entrenched position, so I wonder if it would be difficult to accept proof that Mr. O’Keefe’s death happened in a completely different way.

If you think someone in the house killed JOK and he was put out front by the the Alberts to frame her, please explain the thinking about this though:

- Isn't it really coincidental that his phone stopped recording movement and never was used again just as he got out of the car and she backed up and left? All this is proven and was testified to using actual recorded technical data.

- Isn't it coincidental that she was already talking about him getting hit by something (her car or a snow plow) before he was ever found?

- Why would they risk being seen carrying a body to the front yard?

Yes I know the Alberts et al had weird behavior that night and the day after but not as suspicious or obvious as hers in my eyes.

I said this because when these texts came out that is when this case went 'viral'.

It’s really more likely that JOK lost his footing on slick ground and fell backward, incurring a fatal head injury, maybe after he needed to use his arm to protect himself from a dog jumping up at him. The Commonwealth’s witness, Dr. Wolf, noted how common it is for people who are inebriated to fall backward like this.

For some reason, investigators only pursued the one possibility. They never really spent much time looking into other ways that JOK may have died other than Karen did it. That was poor judgement on their part in the long run.

Look at you making everything political, thinking you are "clever". In reality you are exhausting to be around and thats why most people have stopped inviting you.

Or idk he went in the garage by accident and the dog who doesn’t like strangers was in there because they were having a party, the dog jumped him, he fell backwards on the garage concrete step and died immediately. The cop didn’t want the manslaughter charge or legal liability so he put his phone on his chest and dragged him outside at 3:30am after the plow driver’s first pass.

Not sure why I argue with idiots that aren’t even familiar with the very basic facts of the case. Drunk GIRLFRIEND not wife.

Idiots like you? His phone was NOT on his chest but under his body. Embarrassing to run your mouth like that and you just did the same thing!

Something or someone will break eventually. Too many shenanigans to work out long run.

The medical evidence didn't match the prosecutor's theory of the case. It was speculative.

Did she do it? I have no idea. And that's the point. State bears the burden here. Defense doesn't actually have to present any kind of rebuttal.

The behavior and shenanigans by the police and prosecutor resulted in the prosecution losing the case. After you find out that someone is immoral, you question what they say and do. I’m not going to put a woman in jail because a man who sends such despicable texts about another human being says she is guilty.

These people are all drunks and need to go to AA. I can’t believe that grown adults even act like this running around in a snowstorm drunk.

None of this would have happened without alcohol, but they can’t see this.
