I am impressed he can behave this way. He could have been terrified, considering how many times he's had to refresh his memory.

It's the benefit of being independently wealthy. He has enough money to never have to worry and, unlike everyone else.that's involved, his money is not in any way dependent on Trump, politics, or his current job.

Hmm. I see.

I think there's a bit of chicken/egg. I'm sure his attitude helped make him rich in the first place. But yes, his being candid at this point can likely only help his bottom-line in the long-term. Nevertheless, it's brave and compelling testimony.

I think today's testimony so far has been fairly simple to follow for the average viewer (with a few exceptions of back and forth clarification btw Goldman and Sondland) which is NOT good for Trump and the GOP.

+1 and also see a couple pages back where Biden was indeed referenced following a call, per Sondland.

Nunes' expression at the break was priceless.
But they'll argue that the President can do this because he's the President. And lots of people will believe that.

Most presidents would have carried out the congressional order to deliver the money as authorized. President Trump withheld the money until the Ukrainians agreed to certain conditions that were outside of US policy, but directly tied to Trump's re-election efforts as well as efforts to justify pardoning Manafort and lifting sanctions on Russia.

The money and aid was delivered but it was delayed. Did the Ukrainians ever make the statement?

And there it is and it's over.
Sondland
"Mr. President, what do you want from Ukraine"
President
"I want nothing..."

Got it. Trump is guilty of asking for anti corruption and 2016 investigation and this delayed the money and aid to Ukraine. IMPEACH AND REMOVE!!

No, because there was a whistleblower so in the end they had to leave the burglary tools by the safe and split the scene.

When Sondland's opening statement was given out just before the hearing, the Republicans walked out to confer with the White House on a change in strategy.

The people that matter won’t believe it. And that’s that.
