2026 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

I think the point the PP was just alluding to the toxic nature of the coach and not a comment on girls as teammates. New theory: the coach intentionally trauma bonds them to create a tight knit team and it has proven to lead to success.

100% they only lost by one goal and played man down! I’m rooting for SSSA to win it all and I got a kid at a different school!

In ISL AA, where are the lax girls the happiest win or lose? Coaching and culture? Could it be Bullis? I think so!

It is great to win but if your daughter needs therapy because of her coach, teammates, other parents- is it worth it?

Holton. The new coach is amazing as a person and a coach. She really develops them. The team is extremely happy and close.

Holton will be fighting a relegation battle for the next 4-5 years. Their success is measured by not being the worst AA team. High academic achievers would be better off at NCS or Potomac.

Thank you lacrosse expert. Potomac has a great program and NCS doesn't.

Holton has one year left before NCS over takes them. The NCS pipeline is strong.

Holton's site lists the records of their JV and MS teams. The very few teams they can beat are ISL A programs. NCS JV went undefeated and the MS teams had some big wins. The NCS pipeline is strong.

Is anyone challenging that? We know. Coach has done great recruiting— and being the capitol recruiting director as well doesn’t hurt. This whole conversation was about a lacrosse teams culture, as we know sssa and sr cultures (specifically sr) are toxic and it was asked which teams in the AA have a good lax culture. Holton’s name was thrown in for being a good culture. NCS is currently in A and another poster stated that its lax culture isn’t so great. For those two reasons NCS isn’t part of this conversation.

And is this one rabid NCS parent or a couple? All this hyping makes you look off. Show through actions next year. We are here for it and hope you have success…even the guy who had never heard of you until this thread.

Ok, so teams that are historically, consistently good = toxic. Team is constantly bad = good culture and happy girls. However this only applies to Holton and Bullis. NCS has mean, rabid, off parents.

Wait I’m confused, aren’t there pages and pages of posters crapping on the coaches? I mean I’m afraid of the SR coach just from reading this thread. And posters crap on the legendary KJ, and she’s a true legend.

Maybe further define what you mean about culture? Ok, not coaches. Is it if the girls like and are each other? I truly hope no one experiences that and no school can be called out for that. Is it the spectators/parents? Others?

And as the PP pointed out, NCS is NOT part of the conversation

No, not just Bullis and Holton. They are the only 2 schools who chimed in. Just waiting on Potomac, episcopal, visi, HC to chime in. Personally I haven’t heard anything negative about the programs.

How many pages can we get to by the end of season? 140?

No one answered the question - did any sssas 9th or 10th graders play against SR, Potomac or Visi?

Like Herb Brooks and his Miracle Olympic team. Maybe V Lombardi and B Knight?

I will join you in challenging. Nice to have NCS positioned for promotion, good for them. Will be a nice milestone for coach and program. Called her shot and hit it.

That said, this team just lost to Bishop Ireton big. They have lost to the real ISL AA teams them have played by wide margins as well. Let's see how they look in 2028 and take a break until then. Freshman dad, recommend you step away from the keyboard.

“Trauma Bonds” That’s great! Going to start using that one. The nuggets on here never fail to have me spit out my beer mid gulp. Love it!

Highly unlikely. Maybe 1 at most. Most of the girls haven’t even gotten into blow out games and if they have it’s been like under 3 mins

And the NCS parent thinks Holton isn’t a real AA team. Holton beat NCS on your turf playing man down for a half. By more than a few goals.

Why aren’t you picking on Holy Child or Bullis? Holton beat them both this year. Interesting you have a lot to say about Holton. I wonder why?

Anonymous wrote:Somebody told me that SR started 5 freshmen yesterday. Pretty amazing that a young team could beat a SSSAS team of all of those Seniors and college recruits and now about ready to win the ISL regular season.

I highly doubt that is the case. maybe 1 or 2, but 5?? I would double check your sources

There were in fact 5 freshmen playing yesterday. While not all 5 may have started, they were playing throughout the game until the end.

Previous comment said "Started" that is what I was questioning as being false. And they have 5 total 2029s on roster according to Hudl, 1 being a goalie. Is SR starting a frosh goalie?

Not only is she a freshman but she was also an attacker until last year.

Ha! This was about team happiness and culture. Holton’s players are happy and the culture is positive. And I don’t think you know a lot about these schools mentioned. High academic achievers are not better off at NCS and the team’s culture isn’t so hot— ask some current families. Now Potomac for a high academic lax girl who wants coed is an excellent choice but I have no real insight into their team culture.

You can diss NCS all that you want but their team culture is great, at least currently. Yes, they need to prove themselves athletically but they’re one of the most stable teams in the isl in terms of culture. Also the self promo is corny.
