SR got lucky that it was an off day for Saints who have only lost one game by one goal. I would not call in the season on them. They’re gonna battle till the end despite this one loss.

But they only beat Visi by one in OT the week before. Given what people say about Visi, how can that not be the worst play of their season? There are just too many close games for a team so loaded. I just don't see Saints running through both Visi and SR given recent performance on the field.
They have A LOT of players that were/are injured and coming back from injuries/surgeries so the team has never been fully 100%. To be doing as well as they’re doing giving all those injuries among Top players is pretty commendable.

What team doesn’t have an injured player or players coming back from injury?? Some teams prepare for that. Some teams don’t despite having the resources and years to do it.

Exactly. Visi’s top player is playing with injury and they missed three starters at their game against Saints. SR’s senior Princeton commit is out the whole season. Potomac’s top player also nursing injury. All teams played STAB within 1 goal. At this point anything can happen in post season.

Visi’s top player has been playing with an injury for two years during the ISL season. I bet she miraculously is cured for All-America! It will be all of that praying they do at Visi.

Dumbass.

Haters will always hate, but constantly criticizing the Saints and SR is getting old. These are top programs with top coaches, and that's a fact.
100% they only lost by one goal and played man down! I’m rooting for SSSA to win it all and I got a kid at a different school!

In ISL AA, where are the lax girls the happiest win or lose? Coaching and culture? Could it be Bullis? I think so!

It is great to win but if your daughter needs therapy because of her coach, teammates, other parents- is it worth it?

Holton. The new coach is amazing as a person and a coach. She really develops them. The team is extremely happy and close.

Holton will be fighting a relegation battle for the next 4-5 years. Their success is measured by not being the worst AA team. High academic achievers would be better off at NCS or Potomac.

Why the shots at this player? She is a good kid.

Some of these top players are jerks and rude to their teammates, coaches and refs. We all know who they are and she is not one of them.

Ha! This was about team happiness and culture. Holton’s players are happy and the culture is positive. And I don’t think you know a lot about these schools mentioned. High academic achievers are not better off at NCS and the team’s culture isn’t so hot— ask some current families. Now Potomac for a high academic lax girl who wants coed is an excellent choice but I have no real insight into their team culture.

Agree. Not a Visi parent, but a parent of an opponent and the player being criticized is well-like and respected. Jealousy really burns sometimes and an anonymous forum is just too tempting a place to let it out. Pretty sad and self-indicting actually.

Thank you lacrosse expert. Potomac has a great program and NCS doesn't.

Again not true. The Saints have played freshman and sophomores just about every game! Stop spreading fake news.

You’ve now added Sophomores.

Against SR, did any Freshman or Sophmores play? How about Visi or Potomac?

I’m glad a couple of them got some time against Episcopal. Crazy mom’s fighting for an anonymous credit for their kids on DCUM are the worst!

Everyone knows who that is. They are on their 2nd high school and 5th club team

Holton has one year left before NCS over takes them. The NCS pipeline is strong.

I might agree with that. Holton’s goalie is excellent but she’s a junior.

I agree with this. As a Visi parent, I can say she's always been nice to my daughter, who doesn't play at nearly the same level. I'd assumed that top players might act like divas, and maybe that's true for some, but she isn't like that. She's more like a standard good teammate.

Holton's site lists the records of their JV and MS teams. The very few teams they can beat are ISL A programs. NCS JV went undefeated and the MS teams had some big wins. The NCS pipeline is strong.

Is anyone challenging that? We know. Coach has done great recruiting— and being the capitol recruiting director as well doesn’t hurt. This whole conversation was about a lacrosse teams culture, as we know sssa and sr cultures (specifically sr) are toxic and it was asked which teams in the AA have a good lax culture. Holton’s name was thrown in for being a good culture. NCS is currently in A and another poster stated that its lax culture isn’t so great. For those two reasons NCS isn’t part of this conversation.

And is this one rabid NCS parent or a couple? All this hyping makes you look off. Show through actions next year. We are here for it and hope you have success…even the guy who had never heard of you until this thread.

SR is toxic? Interesting that year after year they win. You can dislike the coach and her methods but the girls there have created a great culture on the team. The best players on the team have traditionally also been the best teammates. The same is true this year. There will be malcontents that like to post on anonymous forums as that's where they live. Don't believe the haters. Believe the results.

Ok, so teams that are historically, consistently good = toxic. Team is constantly bad = good culture and happy girls. However this only applies to Holton and Bullis. NCS has mean, rabid, off parents.

Not sure anyone likes Bullis. I’ve heard good things about Holton.
