Really? I think the fact that you don't understand says more about you. You clearly don't know much about this area. |
Yes, the "area" clearly has a plethora of people with a lot of free time on hands to get all worked up over a dinky little ferry (the importance of which is being laughably overblown on this thread and elsewhere) and a piece of farm property that 99.5% of the region's population has no reason to ever visit. |
Overblown, really? Check out the Hilaria Baldwin thread on the Entertainment forum. That's overblown. |
Libby is the new Rockland owner who keeps posting her side on Facebook. |
There are like, 50 people on the planet who care about this. I bet more people show up to my HOA meeting than care about this. |
Okay loser |
The ferry transports 600 vehicles per day. It’s a vital conduit for rural populations on each side of the river who frequently cross for business purposes. |
They can take Point of Rocks bridge. |
The losers are the people complaining about the closure of some rinky dink ferry that closes every time it rains an inch. |
She’s not the “new owner.” She’s a member of the Rust-Brown family who have owned the property for 200+ years. Her mother - Betsey Brown - died last year. Libby and her siblings are on the Rockland Farm Land Trust, which in turn owns the property. The land trust allows the Rockland Farm LLC to run the property as a vacation rental, wedding venue, and agricultural activities. Libby is the GM of the LLC, but she grew up on the property. |
| The thousands of comments beg to differ. |
|
Its the same people commenting over and over. Or someone who took the ferry once to a winery years ago and thinks its quaint.
|
Go away, Libby. |
You've called me this twice now. I have no association to Rockland and in fact had never heard of it prior to this ridiculous news story. Loudoun residents are so ridiculous. I regret moving here. I just wanted an "affordable" house. But everyone here is crazy. |
"affordable"? Try prince william county instead. |
