Easy for you to say until someone wants to build a bridge on your land

A natural place for a bridge is through the Trump golf course. Can't we all agree it would be great to condemn that property for a bridge?

That is a wonderful idea.

Too bad its smack in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood where the majority of residents don't belong to the club and voted for Biden. No bridge here please. I think the most obvious place they have been saying for years is Rt.28. Still a little close to my house, but I'll deal with it. Although I think people are nuts to live in VA and work in MD or vice versa.

Precisely - the ferry is trespassing

Sounds like they are committed to making it work where the previous owners were unwilling to come to terms with the owners of Rockland. Good on ‘em!

I’ve never heard of the buyers but it sounds like they’re using their wealth to do a lot of good.

Make no mistake Rockland is still the villain.

I was just watching Legacy List on PBS, and Libby Devlin and the property were featured on Show made it sound like they were selling/leaving.

Oh please. The plantation owners were swindling the ferry owners by refusing to let them pay a reasonable price for that sliver of land that had been a ferry spot for decades and decades. This fiasco is 90% the fault of the plantation owners deciding they needed more cash for the land.

So they got more cash from someone who will keep it open. Win win!

white ferry rates have been going up, they've been making more money so why can't the property owner make more money...

white ferry broke the lease by altering the land with out asking for permission. and then they stopped paying the agreed upon amount for the lease.

they have been in arrears for years on the lease payments. good on the property owners for making a point.

you can't squat forever with out consequences...

They’re making money on renting out slave quarters

Looking forward to using the ferry again! I wish the new owners years of success and thank them for keeping it open.

Why do you all even need a ferry? This isn't Jersey.
