Something similar happened to my kid at SWW. |
Not at SWW but thank you for posting. Children can be very bright and still have learning differences that are aided with support. |
| And with respect to SWWFS, it's one of the best schools for special needs in the entire city. Special needs families purposely rank it high in the lottery due to its services and inclusive environment. |
| PP - Families are talking about the HS which is a very different school despite sharing a name. |
Uh huh. And they are the only school with a 'high functioning autism (CES) program' From the other posters I can see any children whose IQ isn't high aren't what they want. There are tons of kids in self contained above or on grade level but they specifically wanted to make sure they received kids above grade level. It's definitely not one of the best schools for sped. |
| Letter from 7 council members. That is a majority. |
What does this post mean? |
|
|
| Watch the letter backfire when transparency shows all the shady shit pulled in admissions. |
| So Trayvon White abd outgoing Brandon Todd didn’t sign... interesting. |
Fact remains is that “admissions shade” wasn’t shade at all if any of the questions posed above are answered with efficacy. We shall see once the questions posed by council are addressed. The timing, progression of investigation, whether or not there was an investigation, all of this will be telling. |
| Ed. committtee chair Grosso also conspicuously absent. |
I do not remember a letter on the behalf of the two principals from Wards 7 & 8 when they were abruptly dismissed at the end of last school year. I try to tell people, when DCPS wants you out, you are out. It doesn't matter the explanation or what led to the dismissal. |
Agreed. Ferebee and Bowser want someone at Walls who belongs to them. |
Sounds likely. May well be about wanting continued back door entrance for city administrators' kids to any and all schools. Which is obviously not acceptable. |
