Wrong. Orderly repatriation to their home country is all that is necessary. You are ridiculous

This is not either or. Even if what you want is orderly repatriation - from the moment you collect the children and hold them in detention centers while you await the orderly repatriation, you have to feed them, clothe them, keep them safe. The government is failing at this most basic, most important duty. The serious maltreatment of these children is either intentional or negligent, and either way it is immoral.

Well the ideal is a physicall barrier fro entry in the first place, but I was referring to what to do with the ones already here.

This is clogging up the system from people who actually need asylum.

There is no wall. That is not how this gets fixed. You want to talk about walls - and refuse to talk about anything else. And meanwhile, LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING. This is happening in our country, on our watch, and you f*cking morons will only bark on about walls.

JFC you are like a dog with a bone but at least dogs are charming and cute.

Are you saying no compromise is possible? That Congress cant addres this by allocating more money for toothbrushes (and as we all know that the tip of the iceberg on money needed for these children) and more or a border barrier? Why one or the other? I'm curious.

Democrats offered money for the wall. Trump turned it down.

So let's just abuse children now. Richest country in the world. American exceptionalism. We set the standard for how things ought to be. Let's abuse children in jail because we can't find the money to pay for toothbrushes. Need to spend all that cash on Trump going golfing

It's real shitty that the CA governments are encouraging these people to flee and haven't lifted a finger to address why they need to flee in the first place. They are just sitting back while our resources are overwhelmed.

More than $100 million of taxpayer dollars spent for Trump to go golfing. I think we can come up with some toothbrushes

How many Americans don’t have dental care?

Why does that not bother anyone.

When Obama golfed- Americans didn’t have dental care either.

Congress allocates money. They've done nothing in the past few months to offer money to address this while the situation worsened despite being warned by the president and others, repeatedly. Trump can play golf -it isn't his job to allocate funds. The Democrats are just as complicit.

Trump lovers can cry about Democrats all you want. We can all see that your Donnie Antionette is to blame - and that you are complicit.

Your protests are pathetic. Your hearts are stone.

Congress controls the purse strings. The House is Democrat majority. Democrats own this just as much as Republicans.

The president doesn't control the purse strings.

Maybe a refresher on 3rd grade civics are in order for some of you

+1

Trump could be doing anything: eating KFC, watching Gorilla tv, flying to Japan, etc. Congress controls the money. Full stop. Period.

Blaming Trump is just an excuse as people suffer.

Taxpayers are paying for Trump's staff to go on drinking sprees at Mar A Lago, while Trump claims there's no money for toothbrushes

Again. Take a refresher in how our government allocates money. You clearly don't have a grasp on the basics.

Then you understand that the Senate has to vote but McConnell doesn’t “do” legislation.

GOP held the purse strings for 2 years. If they cared so much they should have done something.

Why complain about Ds when your own party DGAF?

The President presents a budget, the House and Senate vote to approve or not.

LOL. You weren’t complaining when the GOP sat on their ass for 2 years. The GOP DGAF. McConnell DGAF.

Go complain to your own party, fools.

Trump and the GOP aren’t going to fix this problem. They need to keep conservatives angry and foaming at the mouth, thirsty for immigrant blood, so you will hate vote against the Dems. They work you up into a lather but never quite deliver.
