happening right now: 250 migrant children held in terrible, inhumane conditions in Texas

Now you Libs finally agree there's a CRISIS at the border?

Better late, than never...

Distribution of these children to liberals

Congressional Democrats must stop ignoring the crisis at the border. Please?

The crisis is of your own making, you fools

But we cannot continue to torture children. Full stop.

And if you were as Christian as most of you claim to be, you would agree and not treat these children as animals.

Border agents have been begging for 2.2 million diapers. Perhaps MSM still isn't exposing the crisis at the border?

and again - If there are X Number in quarters meant for Y Number, what do you expect BP to do?

In an interview this week with the AP, acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner John Sanders acknowledged that children need better medical care and a place to recover from their illnesses. He urged Congress to pass a $4.6 billion emergency funding package includes nearly $3 billion to care for unaccompanied migrant children.

He said that the Border Patrol is holding 15,000 people, and the agency considers 4,000 to be at capacity.

Congress needs to do this.

Thank you! That was my question.

The Trump administration argued in front of a Ninth Circuit panel Tuesday that the government is not required to give soap or toothbrushes to children apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border and can have them sleep on concrete floors in frigid, overcrowded cells, despite a settlement agreement that requires detainees be kept in “safe and sanitary” facilities.

All three judges appeared incredulous during the hearing in San Francisco, in which the Trump administration challenged previous legal findings that it is violating a landmark class action settlement by mistreating undocumented immigrant children at U.S. detention facilities.

“You’re really going to stand up and tell us that being able to sleep isn’t a question of safe and sanitary conditions?'” U.S. Circuit Judge Marsha Berzon asked the Justice Department’s Sarah Fabian Tuesday.

U.S. Circuit Judge William Fletcher also questioned the government’s interpretation of the settlement agreement.

“Are you arguing seriously that you do not read the agreement as requiring you to do anything other than what I just described: cold all night long, lights on all night long, sleeping on concrete and you’ve got an aluminum foil blanket?” Fletcher asked Fabian. “I find that inconceivable that the government would say that that is safe and sanitary.”

How much are Trump's golf trips costing taxpayers, in comparison? Not to mention all his children gallivanting around the state dinner in London.

20:17? Please stay on topic here.

So why isn’t Congress acting? It’s obviously a crisis and children need immediate help.

Can we get a Jeff bezos in here to send diapers?

Walton family?

If they 2.2 mil diapers, why are we sending them in packs of 400?

Government, step up.

Big corps, take a minor hit and fulfill the diapers.

There is something seriously wrong if we can’t give these people basic sanitary supplies and a reasonable place to sleep. I’m sure people would be more than willing to contribute these terms and many others if they knew what to do and felt confident that this administration would actually deliver the supplies. Hate to say it, but I suspect that the sadists in our government who are overseeing these operations enjoy the suffering and feel that they are making a point.

Democrats are just as responsible. They have the House. The Senate already passed legislation to address the crisis. Where is the legislation to fix this?

Will they acknowledge this is a crisis yet?!

Who is looking after the well-being of these kids once they’re separated from their parents/caretakers? Anyone? Who changes their diapers? Feeds them? Cleans them? Etc.
This is so heartbreaking and when it comes down to it, it is not a political issue, it’s a humanitarian one. Everyone needs to come together to fix this. We need to compromise all around to get it done. Build the wall/reunite and stop separating families immediately/more funding for supplies and shelter for those who’ve already crossed. I don’t know, but the situation is unbearable to think about and it feels like nobody is doing anything. It’s all talking points and these are real people and INNOCENT children being used as political pawns
