The coach orders them on the bench for the first year and then off the team their sophomore year. I'm sure they greased palms so no one questioned but it wouldn't have been too remarkable to have some 'extras' on the soccer or crew team that you just bench unless absolutely necessary. And these kids weren't getting athletic scholarships, just admission to the school based on performance levels. No contract says they need to stay on the team especially since mommy and daddy bought them high SAT/ACT scores as well. |
I scanned the 200-page complaint. It looks like at least some of the students did take the SAT and /or ACT, just with accommodations at a particular testing center. One parent was warning Key to not make the corrected score too high or the kid wouldn’t believe it. Obviously the athletes who weren’t athletes are a different case, but from what I read it seems possible that the kids didn’t know. |
If these women get the boot from USC, what college will now accept them? How would they trust their transcripts? |
I dunno, if the students were minors at the time of committing test fraud, wouldn't they get a pass? Expulsion from college, yes, but criminal charges? |

When you have everything in the world and it still isn't enough. So very sad. |
Wow! Now I hate everyone involved. And I used to like Felicity Huffman and William Macey. This is disgusting and really sad.
Shame! Shame! Shame! |
Didn't Michael Cohen's son and daughter go to Penn? I seriously doubt he paid anywhere close to $4M-8M if he had to grease the skids. |
+++ I thought so too |
LOL that's funny Didn't Kushner's dad pay to get him into Harvard? It was at least a $1M. |
Not to mention its was $250k!!! |
Does everyone recall those Sony Pictures hacked emails from about five years ago? Weren't there lots of emails in there that talked about bribing their kids into Ivy League schools? I vaguely recalled $500,000 donation and Brown being written about, but I could be wrong. |
So Huffman had her daughter diagnosed for "extra time" to take the SAT, had her retake them, had a special proctor flown in to administer the test, and that proctor helped her change answers/corrections to get a higher score?!
Why isn't the child also indicted? The high schooler also knew what was happening. |
If you read the charging documents it’s clear the parents went to great lengths to make sure their kids •didn’t• know their test answers were corrected. What a betrayal and a way to find out your parents don’t think you’re good enough. |
Arizona State? I am not following. ![]() |
