There has been no official word on Arlington getting the girls DA. What there has been is an announcement from ECNL that Loudoun has gotten into that league, and then some dumba$$ made the idiotic leap of logic that since ECNL made an announcement but there was no announcement about Arlington from US Soccer, then obviously Arlington didn't get DA.

Personally, I don't think there's a chance in heck that Arlington would get GA, but until we hear that some clubs have been added to the girls DA and Arlington isn't on that list, it's all speculation, uninformed at that.

A week ago I would have said you are right. I actually think Arlington stands a good chance (and no I am not an Arlington parent -- my daughter plays DA/ECNL already).

What changed for you? Have you heard rumors out of ASA? There's been facts stated on this board that has made me waver in my opinion.

Maybe in the future with lights at WMS, but impossible now for Arlington to meet USSDA field/practice requirements for FIVE GDA teams on top of their CCL and other teams. FACT.

They are already completely overcrowded, and parents on C through F teams (that would help subsidize all this) would revolt. Those teams already practice on postage stamps.
