I need help for reading this entire thread. The crazy, it hurts. |
LOL me too! I am still scratching my head trying to understand how this thread became this long...
It must be the word "wedding" that seems to set off the crazy in women. I am grateful for my very simple wedding actually. No fancy decoration and I bought the flowers for my bouquet at Safeway and had my mom and sister put it together for me. The cake was small and simple and only my DH's family and my sister and mother were there. |
oh, so should we discuss now the health care reform? let's talk about all the people with no insurance that need medical help. Sweet heart, I explained from the beginning. I came here because it's anonymous and because I didn't want to keep bugging people for one thing that made me upset. I know it's not a big deal for other people that's why I'm here. No, I'm not insane. I'm just an upset newlywed who needed to vent. I'm fine and happy. Thanks for the opportunity. |
you need to lay off all the darlings, sweeties and sweethearts... |
I can tell you didn't read. We have no family in the country so we called people close to us. 18 of his friends and 22 of mine. out of the 40, 13 were children. It was definitely a small thing. I made hair and make up myself and I didn't even have a real wedding gown. Only a simple white gown. I wish I could make the bouquet myself but unfortunately I had 13 guests in my apartment during the weekend and I anticipated I would not have time for it. Anyway, the time will come that I'll look back and laugh at it. *sigh* |
not when I'm trying to be ironic and retribute (sp?) the sarcasm. |
OP, I can't believe you have been on this thread all day long. 2 days after your wedding while you are on your non-honeymoon vacation. At least I'm pretending to work! ![]() |
It's the first time I really get to talk about it. It was relieving and kind of entertaining. I didn't want to annoy people so I kindly asked who all I saw and emailed a few ladies but, anyway... I love to teach and just to know that someone learned today here that not all Americans from the South and Central America are Latinos made my day. Now I'm heading to SS and DMV to change my name and renew documents... What an honor ![]() But hopefully I'll be back soon. I can't wait to see what all people have to say about my Bridezilla moment here ![]() Once again, Thank you DCUM for the entertainment. |
Doesn't Ibero-American refer to all Spanish-speaking countries in Central and South America? So would that still fall under Latino? It just eliminates the French, English, and Dutch origin countries like Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, or Martinique? |
I actually read it. I was not really referring to you as much as the fact that this many women have commented on your vent. I wasn't comparing weddings actually. Just saying that I am happy my wedding was small. |
Yes, the only non Latinos in South and Central America would be those who were colonized by the French and the Portuguese. So, technically, no matter how much she insists on being a high and might Ibero American, she's still a Latino if she is indeed from a country colonized by the Spanish. And besides, no one from South or Central America ever refer to themselves as anything American, but rather they indicate what country they are from. OP is just WEIRD. |
PP here. Forgot to include the Dutch and English colonies..but you get the point. |
NUT JOB! |
Doesn't it almost make you miss the days when you could waste this much time and energy on something as silly as a bouquet? I can't imagine... |
