| Jane O'Brian sounds a little like Trevelyan, but much more pleasant to listen to. It is obvious they have tried to find a sound-alike. Trevelyan sound really, really bad....it is a relief when Jane or the other Substitutes take over. |

I love BB World news, but Laura Trevelyan's voice is horrible, but interestingly, not all the time. When she talks with a lower pitch, it's not annoying, but other times she reminds me of a Liza Doolittle when she says AWWWW in that horrible voice. SMH. How about elocution lessons...

| The accent is off, really; pronunciation of the 'ow' sound is too wide and coarse; and definitely is like Eliza Doolittle when still on the corner of the street with her 'vilits'; but there is a nasal character that's horrible as well. Seems a little less when she speaks quietly. She has no idea how to speak English without a cackle. I loathe it. |

| I turned on BBC America News this evening and we have Travelyn . I had to turn it off. Her voice is so horrid I can't listen to it. PBS has to demand that she be kept off the air. She is married to the President of ABC News which is probably the reason she has endured so long. But we shouldn't have to suffer and loose watching the BBC News. |

She is absolutely unbearable. I just wanted to listen to her report about the US elections (07.11.2018 CET 12.00 hrs) but her voice is unbelievably bad. That uneducated London twang and the quality of her voice itself - horrible!

| About six months ago I sent an e-mail to the BBC complaining about Laura Trevelyan's voice, but I never got a response. I agree they should give her some voice lessons or take her off the air. Obviously a lot of people agree with me since I just found this website with all these many complaints about her voice. You would think she would at least try to improve because I don't think it's as much her accent as it is her voice which is very grating to most ears. |
