I didn't know there was such a swell of protest against Travelyian. Why do they keep her on the air??? She must be connected to someone powerful. I can't listen to her and live for the days when her substitutes take over.

Tonight we have O'Brian which is a relief. She sort of looks like and sounds slightly like Traveleyian. However she is alw as us a break from the gritting voice of Travelyan. Dump Travelyan......1000s of people have complained about her.

Seeing Travelyan standing in the Hurricane area, we can only hope a wave comes along and sweeps her out to sea away from our ears. Her voice is gratingly horrid.

I agree about Ms Trevelyan - that's the reason I found this site! But in my opinion there's somebody eqhally as unlistenable to and that's Chris Mason. I'm not complaining about his Yorkshire accent, just listen to the excellent voice of fellow-Yorkshireman, Paul Henley. It's his inability to do his Rs, as the saying goes, and his general diction. Years ago the BBC had trained speakers and the only ones who did not live up to its high standards were, for example, experts called in from outside the BBC to give their opinion. The people we are complaining about are, as far as I know, employees. At least Trevelyan and Mason should be given old-fashioned elecution lessons with good British actors before being allowed on air.

BBC America doesn't seem to care about what the Public think about how horrible Travelyan's accent and Voice are. Perhaps it is because she is married to the President of ABC News. She is a torture to those who enjoy PBS. I switch channels as soon as I see they have her anchor.

She really does sound dreadful. A gritty accent and voice. Shame on BBC for inflicting this on us. I Googled reviews on her and found this site. With so many complaints i doubt it will matter. She must.he connected.
