You missed the whole point of her post. Hahahahaha. |
| she sprayed Her own house with a stink spray???? Yes she is an idiot |
You pepper spray my dog and I will literally cold cock you on the spot. |
| 99% of the dogs in rock creek (trails) are off leash. So sorry folks. I run with my mine off leash too. He has a shock collar so that if he gets close to people I can beep her. I love running with him. If you tell a ranger, people never get caught b/c I swear there is a code. Everyone will know that a ranger is in the park in 30 seconds! |
| i like the woman who sprayed her own apartment with ass spray. My dog would probably love that of course dice he regularly finds dead animal remains that he can roll on as a little memory of our rock creek park walks |
The fact that PP wrote " I run with my mine off leash too. He has a shock collar so that if he gets close to people I can beep her. I love running with him." So this person is running along and the dog could easily be out of the PP's sightline. I know people with well trained dogs who run with 1-4 dogs at a time for miles. The runner sets the pace not the dog. Maximum 2 leashes with an attachment so 1 lead serves 2 dogs. Well trained dogs will run in this formation. No pulling or lunging or attempting to bother people or animals. No access for human or animal prey drive. Also the dog is by the side of the runner. |
Then you are an idiot. First, shock collars are cruel. No decent dog owner would ever use one. Second, it's easy to run with a well-trained dog. We've had German Shepherds in our family for as long as I can remember. We have two right now. I run with them all the time - on leash. They are both super laid back, well-socialized, and they love people! They are well trained with excellent recall. I can call them with a "here" and they will stop and a dime and come to heel. But the family walking ahead of me has no way of knowing that. Why would I cause another person stress when a simple leash is all it takes for reassurance? I also have no way of knowing how another dog might react to mine. And how can you be sure you are picking up poop if your dog is running free? Plus, it's agains the law. I really hope you get caught. Quite honestly, given your use of shock collar, you should like a shitty dog owner. |
| I use a shock collar too and I assure you, It 's far more humane than making your dog live its life attached to a five foot leash. Shock collars have the ability to vibrate not just shock. 99.9 percent of the time, the vibration is all that's needed to get the dog's attention. The shock feature on my dog's collar is scaled frm 0 to 100. I have tested it on myself of course. Thear collars speed up the training process dramatically. They are recommended and used by trainers. You don't know much about dogs. Your alleged sheppards need to run free. You are actually the cruel one, making them live at the end of a rope |
We have an invisible fence. The dog can run free on my own property. Any dog we've had was trained on it very rapidly. Current dog heard the buzz and required maximum coaxing to even get 1 buzz on the lowest setting. But it works better on some breeds than others. Dogs like Labs and German Shepherds enjoy accompanying their owners on runs, walks, and outings. Rock Creek Park is not the same as a hunting dog doing field trials or retrieving ducks. Shock collars are not used in obedience trials. |
Sure you will. |
| I have been walking dogs off leash in rock creek park - many different parts of the park - for40 years. Never had a single problem. |
It's against the law to have dogs off leash in Rock Creek Park. These dogs should be rounded up and killed. |

Pepper spray + cell phone photos of dog and owner. Can't stand people who let their dogs off-leash, and it's even worse when they think it's no big deal that their dogs are attacking/menacing/bothering people. You pepper spray my dog and I will literally cold cock you on the spot. Sure you will. I do worry about someone spraying a dog and ending up in a violent situation with an owner. |
I would imagine that someone willing to pepper spray your threatening dog, would probably use the same spray to prevent any "cold cocking" literal (does that involve ice?) or figurative. |
Shock collars are not cruel. We use it because we actually went to a hunting/hound dog trainer. They let us know that because it's nearly impossible to train the scent out of a hound, if we wanted our dog back, we would use one. You can't train a hound not to chase a deer or other prey. That is what they are bred for. You are the idiot. Have you tried to run the trails with a freakin' leash??? I don't run off leash on the road or any where else, just inside the trails. People rarely get caught. There's a trail code and I swear it works. |
