I use a shock collar too and I assure you, It 's far more humane than making your dog live its life attached to a five foot leash. Shock collars have the ability to vibrate not just shock. 99.9 percent of the time, the vibration is all that's needed to get the dog's attention. The shock feature on my dog's collar is scaled frm 0 to 100. I have tested it on myself of course. Thear collars speed up the training process dramatically. They are recommended and used by trainers. You don't know much about dogs. Your alleged sheppards need to run free. You are actually the cruel one, making them live at the end of a rope
We have an invisible fence. The dog can run free on my own property. Any dog we've had was trained on it very rapidly. Current dog heard the buzz and required maximum coaxing to even get 1 buzz on the lowest setting. But it works better on some breeds than others. Dogs like Labs and German Shepherds enjoy accompanying their owners on runs, walks, and outings. Rock Creek Park is not the same as a hunting dog doing field trials or retrieving ducks. Shock collars are not used in obedience trials.
