I think the "birthright" thing should be addressed head-on, here. I believe men are raised to expect they're [b]entitled[/b] to love/sex/admiration from women they find (usually conventionally) attractive... but obviously, in a competitive dating pool, there are going to be people with more options and those with fewer options.

As it is, the world is incredibly forgiving about a man's appearance compared to the expectations imposed on women. I wouldn't expect a man to be unable to find a mate at all just because he's short, but if he's complaining because he finds himself rejected by HOT women, well... I might invite him to spend a day as a woman who's not thin. Or a woman who's not young... Yeah, no sympathy.  [/quote]
