Why can't Obama produce a birth certificate?

| only the certificate of live birth printed in 2007 has been posted. anybody can get that. It's not sufficient to even get a social security number, much less be President. he needs to produce his original, signed, birth certificate to be on the ballot in Iowa and Arizona next election, or Sue to keep it secret. |

The issuance of birth certificates is one of those things the tenth amendment reserves to the states and article IV requires all other states to give full faith and credit to what each state does. If Hawaii says that's what they use as the birth certificate, neither the feds nor the other states should have the right to overrule them.
As to the rights of the other states, their citizens are perfectly free to vote against him. |

I raised it, and I meant it as a serious question. Your link was very helpful, and it looks to me that it answers my question negatively, although for a different reason than you gave. It says "but the two Houses concurrently may reject the vote or votes when they agree that such vote or votes have not been so regularly given by electors whose appointment has been so certified." That seems to me to give Congress (the lame duck Congress, that is) the power I spoke of. But since both houses are needed, it won't happen this time. The whole thing it probably inconsequential, though, since the states that will try to keep Obama off the ballot (assuming the Court allows it) are states he'd lose anyway. |

The document he has is the only one that you can get Hawaii if you need a proof that you were born there. It is accepted by the U.S. government for SSN and passport. Whatever the nutjobs have told you, this document is valid for those purposes. |

If you asked for a birth certificate after having been born in Hawaii, that is what you'd get too. They can't give out the orignal. They have to keep it in the archives -- just like they keep your original birth certificate in the archives (ie whatever govt agency) in the place where you were born.
Do you get it now? |
