Heh, TMZ says the card was opened the month after Britney stopped paying child support. So there you go.

He does this all the time. He got sued for unpaid tuition for his other kids as well. He is both entitled and lazy.

If this is how she is without the conservatorship then clearly she should have been getting intensive mental health care during the conservatorship and not performing in Vegas.

Oh, but I thought he was "stepping up for the kids." I wonder where that tuition money went.

Her mental health issues are serious and she needs help.

If you think people haven't tried this already, you'd be dumb. She wont listen to anyone.

She's always seemed impulsive and determined to do whatever she wants with no restrictions, even before the conservatorship.

If she had any sort of real support network maybe she could move out of the spotlight and get sober and on a good medication regime. But when everyone around you just wants to exploit your celebrity, that seems basically impossible. It’s really sad her parents weren’t there for her — maybe that wouldn’t have been enough (see Nick Reiner whose parents were great) but at least she would have had a shot.

This is so sad to read but I think you're right, PP.

I have to agree with this sad sentiment.

Her parents sadly seem incapable of loving her properly.

She’s almost 50 years old and Britney fans are still blaming Britney’s parents, the paparazzi, Kevin Federline, or Justin Timberlake for all her problems.

She deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if she’s committing DUI’s and endangering the lives of others on the road. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan had to learn the hard way. Britney is not exempt either

There are incurable mental health conditions

Ultimately she has to want and follow mental health treatment. It is legal in the US to have untreated mental health.

She is a middle aged woman. Her mother and father are both senior citizens who have had to support Britney through mental health challenges for decades. You cannot force someone who is 18 or older to get mental health treatment. As someone with mental health challenges in our family it is hell on other family members.

Laws need to be changed.

They didn't support her. She supported them while they profited. She was exploited all of her life by her family. At this point, it's probably hard to tell what is mental illness that would have manifested no matter what, and what is trauma from all she's been through. I am sure there will be consequences for the DUI as there should be. I really hope she finally receives the real treatment she needs.

But the Free Britney people pointed to her successful Vegas residency as evidence of her solid mental health. Surely she didnt need to be under conservatorship when she was thriving and performing. They were the ones buying tickets.

The free Britney movement likely bought a lot of attention to this issue which was needed. However, Britney probably did need to be in some sort of conservatorship just not with Jamie holding the reins. He’s clearly not capable of making adult decisions as can be shown by the way he has destroyed his own life and health. And Britneys sister -.didn’t she let her young daughter drive an AV or something stupid and she almost died? Her kids probably should be taken away from her. The whole family is trash but this trash family should not be managing Brit’s money or making decisions for her when they’re clearly not able to make decisions for themselves.

Mentally ill people can still dance and perform with guidance.

Agreed, but they should not be forced to do it against their will.
