Most of us understand that just about anything can happen regardless of age, but more likely to have a medical event if you're over 80. |
This is awful. I cannot imagine what the family is going through. When I first saw this story I definitely was not thinking this is where it would go |
My parents told me to chase my dreams and go wherever I wanted. Dad is gone now. Mom lives independently on the campus of a senior living complex halfway across the country. She’s 90. She’d never ever want me to move back there. We text every day, talk weekly. She drives and has friends and volunteers. She has a full life that she doesn’t want to leave. What kind of crazy codependent life are you living. BTW - one of my children is a plane flight away and another is abroad. They are both living their best lives which brings me great joy. |
| There’s a lot not adding up here. We believe she was abducted, but there’s not a threat to the public, we believe she was hurt and what we found was concerning, but her family searched around for an hour and didn’t see anything that prompted them to immediately call the police. Very odd. |
I agree. I am sure those cameras caught something unless they were blocked. One article said she employed a lot of people-cook for her, take care of landscaping, clean, etc-usual things for keeping up that big a house. Perhaps someone who knew her place well did this or shared info with the person who did and they knew how to get around cameras? There's a lot that is alarming when you put stories together. If the public is considered safe, that tells you a lot. The fact they think she was hurt is so disturbing and it must mean they saw signs of a struggle either on camera or blood or something. I can imagine looking for her for an hour before calling the police because you are in shock and cannot even imagine something terrible happened. |
Based on that home you would assume she had a lot of money, but so do all her neighbors. The fact the police say there is no threat to the public suggests to me, she was targeted and this may indeed be to send Savannah a message which would be gutwrenching. |

I am wondering if it could be someone who worked for her who needed to be fired? I wonder if the sister who lives in the area now has increased security or if they think the mom was specifically targeted.
She just did a Homecoming show in Arizona that had her mom saying how safe and calm it is where she lives, which it usually is. |
+1, the fact that they said there is no threat to the public while also saying she was taken against her will and harmed really stood out to me. |
| The search has been shut down according to some sources because this is considered a crime? That does not sound good. I hope she is alive! |
Nancy's children dropped her off at her home after dinner at 9:45pm. She didn't show up at church the next morning. It does not sound like she was neglected at all, so just shut your trap. |
You should consider closing yours. |

Lots of theories that seem plausible.
I wonder if there is any possibility at all (ridiculous as it may sound at her age) of a problematic old boyfriend or love interest (or any scenario related to this). Her husband passed away over 30 years ago but she certainly might have had a romantic relationship or relationships since that time. While I doubt she was super active on the dating scene at age 84, things could’ve been different even 5-10 years ago. Also, relationships at older ages often involve bitter conflicts with ex-spouses, kids and even grandkids etc (especially for anyone with money to protect or over potential inheritance issues). Someone might have happened in the past that caused someone to hold a grudge- and perhaps something could have happened more recently to make them snap. I’ve seen late in life marriages turn into incredibly bitter and toxic with the families (over $$$, usually) a few times. |
Don’t make your parents flip you off from the great beyond again. |
+1 for sure! |
